After being a loyal customer for almost 30 years my visit for take out today will be the last time I ever give this restaurant... my business. I always order #86 Singapore Style noodles and 1/2 pound of BBQ pork sliced which is my usual go to comfort food. Imentioned that my last order a couple of weeks ago wasn't up to par ... very few shrimp, no egg ... just skimpy. I said that Iwasn't complaining but asked if she could make sure my order is better this time. Not extra ... just what I'm paying for. Shecountered with there is no meat in the noodles. I told there is in fact thinly sliced pork but that it was lacking in shrimp andegg not meat. I also mentioned that I'm ordering the BBQ pork because there is only ever a taste of meat in the noodles. Thenshe asked what kind of noodles I wanted. I repeated and went on to repeat several times that I wanted #86 Singapore Stylenoodles with medium spice and a 1/2 pound of BBQ pork sliced. We just kept going around in circles so I gave up, paid for myorder and stopped mentioning the previous order. The order taker went to the cooks and they all started talking very loud inChinese while staring and pointing at me. I hadn't complained or asked for free food or even extra food to make up for theprevious order so I walked over to where they all were and asked what the problem was. They all went silent. I asked if therewas someone else I could speak with and she told me she's in charge. I asked for my money back and she started trying to go backand forth with me again. I had to ask several times for my money back. It took her 10 minutes to figure out how to do a simplerefund and I had to ask for my receipts. This is just unacceptable. I'm a loyal customer who always tips well and only expect toreceive what I've paid for. I will never, ever eat at Hon's again. There are lots of other choices out there. Read more
I?ve ordered takeout from here many times over the last few years. The food is always ready on time, always fresh, and the... portions are very fair for the price. Absolutely no complaints, will continue ordering from here. Read more
Love Hon?s and have dined at many locations in the lower mainland. We recently moved so we were excited to try out another... location. Ordered the same order we usually get from other locations- all of it was noticeably worse. We were frustrated becausewe usually order tons for multiple meals but my the taste was so off, chicken not cooked, portion sizes completely off (ex.Ginger beef was mostly onion slices). Literally couldn?t eat it, tasted so bad. Called the next morning and left a voice messageasking to speak to the manager as we did not enjoy our order and never got a call back. I have had my suspicion that they withheld some of the duck when I buy a whole duck. I have eaten enough bbq duck to notice... that. For the past 2 times the two boxes had been significantly different in quantity and not symmetrical in parts (half a duckshould be in one container and other half in the other with first layer of the duck breast and ribs, topped by the second layerof the duck front and hind legs and thigh - so in one of the two boxes the second layer is almost non-existent). This timearound I went looking for parts. I wish I took a photo of the boxes first before I started digging through the boxes. As youcan see there are only 3 legs! Not to mention they raised the price of the duck now to $31 dollars. They applied both inflationand shrinkflation! Next time I will just buy a whole duck and cut it myself (or open the boxes at the restaurant and count thepieces). Read more

I have been going to this restaurant for 13 years. I'm very very Happy with the food. The price is reasonable. Service is... fast. Located in a safe area of Coquitlam. Lots of free parking. It's well lighted inside. It's clean. Accessible to publictransportation. This is one of my happy places. Read more
Have been eating here and the other locations for as long as I can remember. A Vancouver/Lower Mainland staple (according to my... family.) Being vegan in the more recent years, I?ve been happy to continue to enjoy many dishes I once loved with a vegetarianflare. Like the sweet and sour ?pork.? Or was it chikn? Good place for authentic Hong Kong Chinese food. Took family from Hong Kong there and they confirmed it. Their BBQ pork... dishes are best and their various steamed dim sum options. But lots of variety for veg and non veg options. Read more
