The Bartender and our Server were very nice and our drinks were good. The food?...... Absolutely not impressed! First, it was... my wife and I's wedding anniversary and thought that going to Fairways at Westwood Plateau Golf Club would be a nice outing. When I read the menu, it actually sounded very appealing. My wife wanted to get the Steak au Poivre which is described as panseared 10 oz. AAA NY strip steak crusted with coarse pepper corns, served with broccolini, roasted brussels sprouts & braisedbaby onion. She did not want the brussel sprouts or onions and asked if she could substitute with another vegetable that was ontheir menu. They said that they can't do that. What?........Really?...Ok, I guess she will find another item from themenu. So, for myself I decided to have the steak. When an item is described as 'crusted with coarse pepper corns' then Iexpect to see actual peppercorns or at least tasted like it had pepper on it? My steak was terrible quality. Gristle, tough,fatty and maybe had a tablespoon of sauce for moisture. My wife finally decided to order the Linguini Vitello which isdescribed as creamy veal & pancetta ragu, porcini mushrooms, reggiano parmesan, crusty bread. Not creamy at all. The veal andpancetta was just tossed in noodles. Couldn't tell if any porcini mushrooms were in the pasta? The bread was just plain bread. No sauce to even dip the bread in or butter/spread for that matter. Maybe we just picked a bad first time to come? I readreviews that stated some really good things about this place. So, I expected to have a similar experience as those who wrotegood reviews. Unfortunately, we just left disappointed and under valued. Read more

I?m a regular here for brunch and the food is always A+. I always get a Benny and it never disappoints. Today I tried the... braised beef Benny (pictured here) and it was fabulous! Their potatoes are also so yummy. Service is good. The ambience ischill and it?s a nice place for conversation. Some restaurants can sometimes be too loud for catching up with a friend but notthis one. Read more
We had a great experience, I tried their Canadian Elk burger and my wife got the little shells pasta, we love them all. Beside... the food they greet you very well and will check on you the whole time to make sure everything is good. The atmosphere is greattoo. Read more

The food here is so good, the view is beautiful. But our server wasn't as good half way through our time there. It felt like our... server forgot about us, when we finally got her attention again to tell her we didn't like our drink she brushed it off withoutletting us say why and that we were sending it back. But she didn't do anything about it. I was very upset about this due to thedrinks being expensive and both my friend and me got one each and we both didn't like it due to it having a weird taste that wedidn't like. I was hoping for at least one drunk taken off the bill due to the fact that neither of us drank half of the drink.So we paid for two drink we didn't enjoy and wanted to send back but was ignored by our server. I would like to come backbecause the food here was so good, but I don't want the same server who ignored my friend and me for about 20 minutes eventhough we kept trying to get her attention. Beautiful views of town (all the way to Burnaby) and good pub food. Fries were one of the best I have had. Drinks are good and... beer flights are generous. A quick and good place if you?re in the more residential part of northern Coquitlam. I just wish theservice was more courteous. We had to wait quite a bit to get our server?s attention when we wanted to order extra food anddrinks. When the food came (in reasonable time), she came to check on us only when we were almost done. On the bright side, Idon?t think this is the service culture at Fairways; the two other persons who helped us sit and get a clean/sanitized tablewere very nice. Read more
Views and location are amazing. Would love to visit again in the summer and sit out on their big patio we ordered the soup of... the day (chicken and vegetable), it was okay. And we shared a meat lovers pizza. We requested half with no cheese (for me) butthe pizza came out first time incorrect (it was half cheese only, half meat). They quickly remade the pizza and the base wasvery yummy. I?d rate the pizza as a whole 3/5. We found the service very friendly and welcoming. Read more
