Reviews for Drifters Marina & Grill in Copperopolis, CA
Would not recommend this place. I was passing through and came to ask about putting my kayak in the water and initially things... seemed ok. Was interested in a meal as well. I went in to ask if there was anywhere nearby to put a kayak in, and they mentionedthey had a place and somewhere I could park as well. They did not mention there was a $40 charge to use the ramp. So I take myboat all the way down and start to unload it. Then a staff member comes out and asks if I had paid yet. I explained my earlierconversation and mentioned that they did not tell me about the fee. Since it was getting later in the day I had only planned onbeing in the water for an hour, so their fee was far too much. He then rudely requires that I move my car up the rampimmediately with the boat partially unloaded, not letting me first quickly reattach it. In doing so, my gear shifts and it takes4x longer to reattach my boat than it should. Clearly this was not a place I wanted to stay and dine at they have burnt a bridgefor a customer on my future trips through the area. Read more
So glad I happened upon this place! Perfect stop on my road trip to Sonora then Bridgeport. Nice AC inside, serene lakefront... views outside with a tiki bar decor. Friendly staff and delicious food. Got my road trip vacay off right! Read more

Went in a group of 5, and we found a table right away on a Saturday lunch time. We had the draft lager and fish & chips. Food... was great. Excellent customer service. Excellent view of the lake. Prices are outrageous though, came out to about $35 perperson. Read more

We are from out of town and it cost $40 to launch your boat there! Drifters Marina isn't an easy location to access and there is... no turn around. You have to back in from the street. Unless you are an owner, you have to park a looooong ways away. The onedirt parking lot for guests had cars and trailers there, with no way to turn around. Had to unhitch just to park both truck andtrailer in different locations. Wasn't impressed with Lake Tulloch either. The shores are too rocky to beach the boat to letdogs out to swim. Way too much stuff floating the water too. Very few areas to go fast, so those areas are congested with boatsand jet skis. Wouldn't go back. New Malones is much better for just boating. Read more
Drifters is an on the water full service restaurant and bar located at a small Marina on lake Tulloch. The food is far better... under the new owners who are usually onsite and happy to make your experience perfect. The service has been great, pizza andburgers hot, salad crisp and cold. I am local and I eat here often so have tried many items on the menu. If you are looking fora gourmet meal, this is not the place. If you want good food in a lake marina setting, this is the spot! Dog friendly andaccessible by boat. Definitely plus plus. Edit - The food keeps getting better and better. Added good food pics. Read more
