Honestly this is my husbands and I favorite brewery! We always feel like family when we visit and our corgi @einzelda loves it... there! The back patio is dog friendly and your pup must be leashed. They always provide ein with water and we have a blastrunning around the big open fields. Also if I could recommend anything off the menu the chicken sandwich is really good pairedwith dream patch (sour) or wheat ale (witte). Read more
We have been wanting to go here for quite sometime ,but when you live in Tennessee, its quite the drive. Well we had a wedding... to go to in Cooperstown so day 1 first thing we finally made it to Ommegang ,and we were not disappointed. The place isbeautiful and the beer was fantastic, our bartenders had very good knowledge of what was on tap, even though we didn't eat, thefood looked and smelled great. This place is awesome! They have everything you can think of including slushies. The outdoor seating is very nice, the staff is... very friendly and the food was delicious. They have a nice bar food menu. This is definitely a must stop! Read more
We saw BLEACHERS here and it was a lot of fun. Plenty of parking. Plenty of space and easy to see stage. The food truck options... were really good and we tried a few of the beers and were very happy with Neon Rainbow and the Cider especially! Read more
Beautiful brewery; you know you?re somewhere special. The ambience inside was nice and the beer itself was amazing. The caramel... apple cider was good enough to get a 4 pack to take home. Got some appetizers which were good. Poutine was unique and brusselssprouts were tasty. The sandwich and burger had good flavor, but the corn salad I got was a little lacking. Just dry leaveswith some mush in the middle. My biggest knock was the time it took to get everything. We were told they always fill up within15 minutes of opening so you would think they would be prepared to accommodate. Took about 30 minutes to be seated and didn?tsee our first app for over an hour. Gorgeous natural venue to see concerts! Bring a folding chair or blanket and enjoy from the hillside or head to the stage for... standing room only. So many food trucks and of course delicious Ommegang brews. The show is even capped of with fireworks! Read more
We made our way 3 hours to Cooperstown to spend the weekend, visit the local sites, and spent the night locally. It's our 2nd... time coming and visiting, and on the list was the Ommegang Brewery that we (and I) very much looked forward to since we enjoyedit last time. The place was fairly busy, with almost all the tables full, so the 10 of us grabbed beer's from the bar, wentinto the overflow room to hang out and enjoy our drinks. At this time of year, the brewery has somewhat tight hours (12-5) on aSaturday. We arrived at 3:10 so we could be sure to enjoy the beers, as well as the food from the kitchen since it wassomething we all loved last time. As we walked up to the front door, there was a paper sign on the door stating the kitchenwas closing at 3. Cooperstown is somewhat isolated with many places closed in the winter, so planning out the food plans inadvance is a good idea. Our plan was to chow down at the brewery while enjoying the beer, but much to our disappointment, wewere denied. We made sure to check the social media prior to visiting for any thing going on or any postings (Facebook, andtheir website), but no update or any special instructions there about the plans to close food early. So, word to the wise, ifyou plan on eating or visiting there from far away, make sure you call ahead and see if they plan to be open as its posted. Thebeer and facilities arewere pretty nice , so if they are open, it should be great. Read more
