First time over here. The service was good but the food was absolutely lousy. I ordered shrimp and Flounder. While the shrimp... was tasty The Flounder was essentially deep-fried skin of the fish very little meat. We went with a lg crowd.& were only allowed to pick from a select menu. They hike up my husband's meal $6 & mine $5.00. Then... they added an additional $1.00 in mine when I went to pay. My wife and I are big foodies. We are always looking for the best local eateries when we travel. Often times it's difficult to... find places that compare to the qualities we get in DFW, where we live. Nick's is NOT one of those places. The food wasincredible top to bottom. The Prime Rib is possibly the best I've had (I've definately paid 3 times the price for lesser rib).We tried to stick to items they make in house. Brussell sprouts, crab cakes, escargot, etc etc, it was all 5 star! If you'retraveling through Cookeville TN and have an interest in a GREAT meal, Nick's will not let you down! Great food, selection was ahh-mazing... server was very friendly and attentive! Hostess wasn't so inviting and gave me a look... when I said table for 1... very impressed with the food!
