We stopped in to Picked Cucumber on our way home from Myrtle and the country-style comfort food was really good. It was Sunday... at noon so the post-church line was in full effect. Nonetheless, the wait was worth it as the line moved quick. We tried anumber of things including their standard Meat & 3 (Fried Chicken / Potato Salad / Green Bean Casserole / Black Eyed Peas) aswell as salads and a Buffalo Chicken Wrap. Everything was delicious. Service was good, sweet teas and waters were refilledmultiple times, the food came out together and quickly even at peak business time and everyone there was super nice. Parking iseasy on the streets around PC and Conway City Hall so no issue there. Conway is a long way from home for us but we?lldefinitely stop back in on our next trip to the beach. Read more

My husband and I stopped in for lunch and the food and service were fantastic. Great local spot. I had the chicken and dumplings... with okra and green beans. My husband had a Club melt sandwich with fries and a side order of black-eyed peas, all were good andthe portions were generous. Big fan of the sweet tea. Great Southern cooking, prices were fair, less than $30.00 for two people. Read more

Country home cooking made momma?s way. Local diner opened Sunday-Friday 1030am-3pm in the heart of downtown Conway. Simple open... floor plan with padded chairs and tables that seemed to fill as fast as they emptied. Menu offers the usual sandwiches, salads, burgers and wraps, but their mainstay is a choice of a meat and sides. Featured on a large chalkboard, choices do change daily,is a selection of meats and a wide variety of southern style fixings. My choice was the Chicken Fried Steak and my two sidesmashed potatoes and mac and cheese. My chicken fried steak was an ample size chicken breast fried and flavorful. A tad bit drybut nothing like a good slathering of white gravy couldn?t fix. I loved the homestyle mashed potatoes that were chunky with theskins mashed in, didn?t even bother with the brown gravy on the side, the creamy mac and cheese and the small tease ofcornbread. Cornbread was moist, not the usual coarse, bland cornbread so commonly found on menus. Service was friendly andefficient. Servings were plentiful and cost more than acceptable. Nothing brings you faster to the table than made from scratch, down home cooking. Read more

This place was packed! We ordered to go. Ordered chicken and dumplings with black eyed peas and potato casserole. Small piece of... sweet cornbread is included. My partner ordered chicken fried steak with gravy, collard greens and broccoli salad. Expectleftovers, portion sizes are huge. Chicken and dumplings were bland and the gravy pasty. Potato casserole was a bit dry.Cornbread was great, wish it was a bigger piece. Tried my partners chicken fry, again a bit dry and lacking seasoning. It wasn'tall that bad, just could use a bit more seasoning. Service was great and very fast. Read more
