Out of both locations, this one is the best. The staff are always a delight, the chicken is some of the juiciest and most... flavorful chicken you?ll find in the area, and the potato salad is to die for. I drive a full 30 mins each way to get a 4 pieceleg dinner! I have now brought at least 3 friends to try it and they all loved it too. Out of the dozen or so times i?ve been,i?ve only had a single experience I would consider subpar where the chicken tasted a little less fresh than usual, but i?mconfident the staff would have no issue fixing that if I had brought it to their attention. Great food nice people but they are antiquated and it takes too long to get a one person single meal. Only problem is I LOVE... THE FOOD! The costs are average. The quality and quantity of food is good. Nice made to order food. Service was nice. Hot French fries and good chicken gizzards yummy sweet tea. I would visit here again.
**2 Stars and I'm being generous. About the only thing I felt was ok, was their whiting fish sandwich and hush puppies, that... really had little flavor as far a seasoning is concerned. The fries we're soggy and poor quality. The place looks like somethingleft over from.the 1960's. It's old and dingy looking. The bathrooms were poorly kept and looked unsanitary. They do have aregular clientele flow for take out orders, but are probably some local yokels that have been going there for years. I wasabsolutely turned off by the entire appearance of the place, and the low quality grade of their food will not draw me back.Look, even if their fried chicken is halfway decent, there are much better places in the area I can go to. I saw this place and decided to try it. The service was good, and the time waiting was not long. The fried chicken was hot, but... if I had known they fried it on the same grease as the fish I would have passed! My chicken tasted just like fish. If I wantedfish, I would have ordered a fish plate. Read more
