Reviews for Lola's Filipino-American Eats in Conway, AK
UPDATE 12/11: went by and service was great and he offered to bring it out in the rain. considerable amount of chunks of fat in... pulled pork sandwich. garlic fries weren't like they were before, a bit soggy now and flavor seems different. I don't know whathappened. UPDATE 3 weeks later (9/18): The initial review was 5 stars but because I mentioned the slight toughness in thechicken, the owner offered a re-make. I came by today and accepted the offer and it was 10/10. I don't think it was their faulteither; I think it may have been a bad piece of meat. Sometimes when I buy chicken that happens to me too. I also tried thespicy pork adobo and it was amazing. The green onions sprinkled in the rice are a very nice touch. The pork is well marinatedand cooked perfectly. The "spicy" part of "spicy pork adobo" isn't like a hot sauce -- it's almost like a "spicy flavor". Itlingers. It doesn't burn you up and make you hot but it's an excellent flavor and just mildly spicy. It's perfectly made. Ithought that 2 oz adobo sauce may not be much, but it was actually perfect because they provided more rice than I thought theywould and it's actually got a higher soy sauce to vinegar ratio than I was thinking it would be (those ratios always varybecause people make it differently). I had leftover sauce because it was more than enough. They also stay open the entire day onFriday, which is also a plus. The first thing you should know is the hours on Google aren't correct. This business has a splitschedule. Secondly, they apparently keep selling out and having to close early. They also have things crossed out on the menubecause they are sold out. I eventually managed to try their food. They are behind Eat My Catfish and THINK Coffee in a blacktrailer. I've made and consumed plenty of adobo in my life. I tried the grilled chicken breast adobo sandwich. I think it hadonly a mild adobo flavor in the chicken and it was very slightly on the tough side. The flavor combination Read more
My boyfriend and I got the lumpia, fried cheesecake, pork adobo, and the pulled adobo sandwich - which may not be a permanent... menu item, though it should be. Everything was beyond scrumptious. We?re definitely going to be back VERY soon. Read more

Tried this eatery out Friday evening, wasn't disappointed. My spouse & I LOVE Filipino food. BTW, it is a food truck in case you... put in GPS like we did, just drive the parking lot you'll see it. First off the Spicy Pork Adobo was very-very good, pork wastender & flavorful and the spicy builds...definitely recommend this menu item. We also ordered the Pancit Bihon noodle dish. This dish has a ton of potential! The noodles, pork, veggies were all very good but what kept this from being a 5 star reviewwas the salt level of Pancit dish. I like salt so rarely will I ever complain but it was just too salty for me. This critiqueis more for owners than patrons because I want people trying & enjoying Filipino food, I want you to be wildly successful. Also, the lumpia was a tad wilted so crisp those babies up. We'll be back! P S. Your little blond helper was so polite & kind! Read more

My wife and I finally got a chance to try Lola's Filipino-American Eats today. This was our first time ordering Filipino... food. Although today was the first day for the lunch menu, we ordered two different entrees off of the dinner menu so we wouldhave two things to try and have some leftovers. We ordered the Pancit Bihon noodles, with shrimp, and told them to leave offthe bell peppers. We also got the adobo chicken with the garlic fried rice. We finished off the order with the fried rolls(lumpia). We hoped to also get the deep fried cheesecake lumpia as well, but they were out of them by the time we arrived. They were very busy on this particular Friday for lunch, but the wait was reasonable, especially because I was able to sitinside my car in the air conditioner and wait on them to bring it out. The noodles had a great flavor, and reminded me ofSingapore noodles you'd get from a Chinese restaurant. The shrimp was very fresh and the portion size was just fine for oneperson for dinner, especially with lumpia on the side. If I had to be picky, I'd ask for the salt content to be lowered alittle next time we ordered them again, since I do try to watch my sodium intake, but other than that, we enjoyed this dish. Thechicken was very tender and also had lots of flavor. I especially loved the vinegary sauce that comes with it. I really likedthe garlic rice. It had tons of garlic, and I really love garlic. The real star of the show was the lumpia. I could eat thoseall day. The had lots of meat in them. Although everything was good, I'd be perfectly happy with a plate of the garlic rice anda stack of the lumpia. Next time I'll try to get there early enough to get some of the cheesecake lumpia as well. Please excusemy poor quality photos. I took them quickly because I was hungry and didn't want to wait to eat. Read more
