Reviews for Charleys Cheesesteaks and Wings in Converse, TX

So stopped in to Charley's to try them out for the first time yesterday. And I'm a little on the fence about how to review them.... So let me break down my experience. So we walk in to see their menu as it's our first time there and we didn't know what theyhad or what we wanted. I ended up getting the old school, my daughter got a kids meal and my wife got some lemon pepper rubwings. Well idk exactly how, but our order ended up getting completely skipped over and 30 mins later the manager noticed wewere still there waiting and asked if we had already got our order. We did not. She asked her staff how they missed us and hadthem drop everything to get on our order and was very apologetic. Within a few mins our order was out and we were on our wayhome. So we get home and pull everything out and and start to eat and my wife realizes her wings are still frozen solid. She wasvery upset. After all that wait she now had to go back to the store. Upon her arrival the manager recognized her immediately andmy wife told her the wings were frozen still and she handed her a cup so she could get a drink while she waited and asked if shewanted the wings remade to which my wife refused. She then asked my wife if she could get her anything else. So my wife askedfor a Cheesesteak with no onions. The manager said ok, refunded our money for the wings and had everyone immediately stop whatthey were doing to make her cheesesteak. She was in and out within about 5 mins. All in all my rating doesn't reflect themultiple mistakes made because when we all finally ate, the food was delicious. The manager was incredible and absolutely madeit right. And despite some time lost she absolutely saved the experience and is an asset to that company. I had to dock 1 starfor the mistakes, but if it wasn't for her saving the day my rating would have been a 1 star. She was that amazing. Definitely amust try. Read more

Tonight staff was really helpful and was early to pick order but was out quick! The place is clean! Not to crowded as well and... enough space! And smells great in here! Don't waist your time or money here. There is an exceptional Charlyes about 3.5 miles away. I was made to wait 25 mins for my... food. When they realized they skipped my order they went to the door dash section and grabbed food that had been sitting for aslong as I had been waiting, to make my order. Food is cold as could be. When I said something to the lady she just looked atme and smiled. Even with gas approaching 6 bucks a gallon just drive a few miles and go to a real location. After readingseveral reviews this location should just shut down. Seriously this franchise owner should cut his loss'now! Read more

5 Stars! Why? Because not only are their sandwiches and cheese fries awesome but their managers got large cups from a local... theater to make customers have cups. Other restaurant managers would not do anything like but just sit on their lousy bottomsand blame their lack of supplies on COVID. Good Job Charley's managers for being on top of your game! First impressions of the sandwich- it looks really good but it doesn't look like it's very filled with meat/toppings. That could... be just the way it was set up in the box. I ordered mine without lettuce, pickles, and tomato. Next time I'll need to make sureI ask for extra mushrooms, peppers, and onions. Overall, tastes good... Overall highly dissatisfied with the customer service. While ordering I was rushed to make my order, then when the order was... repeated back it was incorrect and I missed it. However when I got to the window and the girl repeated it again I caught themistake and corrected it. She asked if I would just keep the order the way she rang it up since it was already made (defeats thepurpose of reading it back or ordering what I actually wanted) then proceeds to ask me if I just didn't hear her the first timein a sarcastic or irritated manner. Went through the drive through, had fast service. Decided to go inside to eat, was greeted and check on while dinning. I got the... chicken teriyaki, it was a little on salty side but never the less good enough for me to eat. A little mad they didn?t have thatspecial season salt for my fries. I would come back. From the looks of other reviews I can see this is a problem. I ordered this on Door Dash at 5:20. Door Dash waited a long time... for the food. Almost 2 hours later we received soggy fries and sandwiches that were so burnt we can't eat them. We spent over$35. Stay away from here. Read more
