Went with tour group. Amazing museum, great food and service!
Worth a stop for the rooms of history and the train model. Also, good peach cobbler.
The five stars I am awarding are for the total experience. The food was good, service was good, but the experience was... fantastic. The museum is very obviously a labor of love for the town, and it's history. There is a military emphasis, but thereare many artifacts and momenta having to do with other areas of the town's history. The staff in the restaurant are incrediblyfriendly, as were some of the patrons who appeared to be regulars. Had a very nice small-town feel. It was a very memorable partof our GAP bike ride. The food is excellent, come hungry because the portions are large. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable about the area.... Give yourself extra time to view all of the WWII artifacts - the collection is amazing! And if you're a model train buff, youdon't want to miss the model railroad housed there. Read more
what a delicious place to eat. best lemonade i've had since was a child. we had a meeting there and they have lots of space,... friendly staff and super strawberry cake dessert. chicken was cooked perfectly, surprised since it was for larger group 20+buffet style. potatoes also were seasoned and perfect!
