I?ve been coming here for the past 20 years. I love Hank?s soft serve and also they?re shakes and sundaes. I just recently had... their turtle sundae which was so good. The silky, creamy goodness that comes out of this little shack is otherworldly. My wife doesn't do ice cream. Not one bit. ... But we recently moved back to Meadville where I grew up, and one day I took her to my favorite childhood custard shop. Oneglorious bite later, and she was hooked. Since then, she's dragged me (willingly) to Hanks more times than I can count. Shemakes up excuses to go to Conneaut Lake just so we can stop at Hank's. And I ain't complaining!! If you've never tried Hanks,then you probably wouldn't understand what I'm talking about. It's just something you have to experience for yourself. Justremember, they make FROZEN CUSTARD here. And THAT'S their specialty. For best results: a cone is the way to go. The simplerthe better. It stands on its own without any frills.
