Food overall was better than expected. Brisket was bit too salty. Chicken was pretty dry. Rib and pulled pork was good. Avoid... getting drinking water, get pop, tea, or something else. Was heading back home to St Louis when I decided to find a place to eat. Stopped here and was happy I did. Generous food... portions, saved 1/2 for lunch the next day. Waitress was nice and attentive. Only thing that would be nice is if you added sidesalads for a side. Will definitely stop by next time I'm driving thru. Read more
We enjoyed our brisket platters immensely. The meat is perfectly done and tasty without sauce. Hot and mild sauce was on the... table. We both went with the hot sauce and thought it complimented the brisket well. Our sides (beans, macaroni, and broccoliwith cheese) were just meh. They were out of pecan pie. We stopped in for dinner about 30 minutes before they closed. They were expecting someone to be picking up a called in to go... order and thought I was that person. I said it wasn?t me, but I wanted to place an order. I ordered a full rack of ribs,French fries and beans. Deb was still out in the van when I ordered. Deb came in and sat with me as the server brought us ourfood boxed to go, a little confusion when I ordered at the counter, not sitting at a table. She brought us some plates and weate inside, but we still took about 2/3s of the meal to go with us. All the food in the photos was one order of ribs! It camein three boxes! The service was great, and the food was great too! The fries and beans were good, but the ribs were the starof the meal! They were cooked just right, great taste, very meaty and just the right amount of fat to make them some of thebest ribs I have eaten. We will definitely visit again if we are in the area! Read more
