We went to the new location in concord about a month after it opened. Looks like great atmosphere, but that?s where it stops. We... got mushrooms for the appetizer and they came to us still frozen under the breading! So hard I could not even bite into it! Then the waitress was kind to try to fix it and brought back the same ones cooked more and dropped them off at the same timegiving us our food. She did not apologize or anything. My husbands burger and onion rings were mediocre at best. I ordered achicken sandwich that came all in cubes that only covered at most 2/3 of the bun. I have never seen a chicken sandwich in cubes.The server was nice but did not try to apologize. Have not been back since. I heard Madison location is better but don?t know ifit is worth the trip. When you go looking for a diner..you expect it to be that not some pseudo thing in a strip mall. That said the service was... pretty good ESPECIALLY Robin and the pretty boy who served coffee.(though wearing pants that fit would be better in a businesssense). This place was dumb expensive Look at the onion rings for nearly $6. The fish sandwich was tiny as was the philly. Ourbeef and noodles was like a half order with too little beef and too much noodle. I would avoid this place except for a slightnostalgia feel. Read more
First time at Mary's Diner & it was great. I ordered a strip steak, brussel sprouts & mashed potatoes - all very good. My wife... had the cabbage rolls and loved them (a special on Sundays)! Our daughter had the chicken tenders and said they were also good.Service was extremely friendly (albeit a touch slow), restaurant was very clean & we loved the 50s diner theme and a menu with aton of options. I'll order a cheeseburger on our return visit, those looked delicious. Read more
Amazing atmosphere! My wife and I stopped here for lunch on our way from NY to MO, and were we pleasantly suprised! The staff... was incredibly friendly and genuine in their pursuits to serve the customers. The retro style of the place was very unique forthis day and age and took rhe edge off after half a day of driving! And the food...don't get me started! I ordered a burgercalled "The Godfather", which tasted like a pizza burger without being a pizza burger 11 of 10 stars ????! My wife ordered a"Chicken Bacon Ranch Sub" and really enjoyed the moist chicken! I also ordered a Root Beer Float and my wife got a Hot FudgeSunday for dessert. Loved the retro class cup it came in ??! Like I said...a wonderful experience and one we hope to have againin the future if we ever travel through the area again!! Read more
I am actually shocked to see any reviews less than 5 stars for Mary?s Diner. This place is awesome! Where to behind- the Staff... is extremely friendly and the Owner welcomed and thanked us during both of our visits. The environment is SO CUTE! They did anawesome job with the 50?s theme, not a detail missed. The cleanliness is incredibly apparent- and while of course they?re new,the place literally shines. And lastly, the food was delicious! We are lucky to have this spot just 5 minutes from our home inConcord. Thank you, Mary?s Diner! Read more
