Southern Strain reached out to the App State Cabarrus County Alumni Chapter via Instagram inviting us to use their space to host... a viewing party for the Coastal Carolin game. Everyone I worked with at Southern Strain was extremely accommodating. They evenstayed open late for us so we didn?t have to leave before the game was over. The beer and food was great as always and serviceattentive. We had a great turnout and everyone enjoyed themselves in spite of the loss. Thanks again for everything SouthernStrain; we will be back! 5 stars hands down!!! Super nice place! Lots of beer to choose from. They have food options inside. They hosted a 5k today Run... for Pils and it was awesome!! Great factory-turned local brewery atmosphere. Indoor and patio seating. No dogs allowed inside. Hope you like hops, they have a... hoppy Pilsner and and pils with hops, in addition to other beers. I?ll definitely be back. Separate counter for food. Read more

Southern Strain has a nice variety of beers to chose from. As an Sour/IPA girl, I was very pleased. Atmosphere was welcoming,... bar tenders were friendly and the place was clean. I loved HotBox food that works with the brewery. They have a smallselection, but boastful flavors that mingle well. Risotto Fritters, mmmm. Pickled shrimp black eye pea salad, give me more! Great Concord brewery! Array of craft beers. Cans to go. Good food at HotBox next level kitchen in house.

We enjoyed this place. It's very much off the beaten path, down in a residential neighborhood-we would have never found it if... it wasn't for Google. The bartender was super friendly and you can order food from a to go window right across from the bar. Igot a flight and enjoyed all of my beers. The atmosphere is big and airy with a big outdoors also. A few TVs and two arcadegames. We did not go outside so I'm not sure what all is out there. Would go back if it was closer but we were just comingback from a trip to Charlotte. Read more

Great ???? local spot on a Sunday to listen to local music ???? in the historic Concord area. The location just won a gold... brewers award for their O.K. Lunch Beer ???? with the N.C. Brewers Cup! The Staff was great and they have a restaurant locatedinside. What a great spot to find while staying in the area. Read more
