The service, people and atmosphere is welcoming and gentle. Unfortunately, the food was not worth visiting twice. I purchased... chicken and shrimp yellow curry. The potato chunks were too large; the carrots were too thin; the curry was soupy instead ofthick, like gravy; the flavor was fair, but it was just like a bag of spices with "just add water" as the instruction; andfinally, I was given short grain sticky rice, NOT JASMINE RICE! Anyone who eats rice regularly or enjoys rice dishes would knowthe difference as soon as they see it. I wasn't able to enjoy the food ordered. I ended up throwing out everything, after eatingthe potatoes and protein. I enjoy an array of foods, this was very disappointing. Read more

Closed to dine in. Not even open when they should be. Think they can do whatever they want since covid. Just go out of business... already. Read more

My 6 year old daughter wanted noodles while we were visiting Charlotte Motor Speedway. It was Take Out or Pick Up only. The... owners invited us to eat in, as we were from out of town. The food was awesome and the people who helped us were amazing! Theygot her food out right away; they were very kind and the food was great! Definitely a hidden jewel!! Read more

This is the best Thai restaurant I've ever been to. I love this restaurant so much! The food is always amazing. The decor is... always nice and it's always very clean in there, although the dining room is closed currently so that doesn't really make adifference. Read more

The staff member I spoke to on the phone was very knowledgeable of menu allergens and made me feel confident in the care that... would be taken with our order. I was highly surprised but pleased to find our pineapple fried rice came in half a pineapple eventhough we ordered our food through Uber Eats. And man was it good! Possibly the best fried rice I?ve ever had! I only wish Ilived here to enjoy it more often, but it is on my list of places to visit, next time I?m back in the city. Thank you for anamazing dinner!! Absolutely LOvE the food here! Been eating with them for years at the former location as well as the current location. Usually... get take out lunch orders. So good! Favorite dishes for me are: Cashew Chicken/ Pad Med Ma Muang and Pad Thai. I like spicy soI always ask for the heat at 5. ???? I have eaten a variety of the soups as well and they are great. A fun dish to get ispineapple fried rice(not the best photo, but will include one of this dish). Honestly not sure if they call them spring rolls orwhat, but their rolls and sauce that come with most meals round it out well. The sauce is house made from what I believe and isso yummy. Kate is always helpful with any questions you may have about the food too. Not too long ago I was in downtownCharlotte and wanted to try a different Thai place. I read reviews and decided on one that I could pass on my way home that hadbeen suggested in a listing. People reviewed it well. When I took a bite of my food I was disappointed and felt like I shouldn?thave cheated on my faithful Mai Thai II as the food at the new place was bland and didn?t seem like the fresh ingredients I amused too. End point, don?t let the bigger city call you away and miss out on a great restaurant in the shadows! Read more

The Yellow Curry was delicious, the spice level being a 3 was right on point. The Basil Rolls was like a delicious salad in a... wrap, especially with the plum sauce. The staff was super friendly and helpful! Read more

The staff at Mai Thai II are super nice and quite quick. The atmosphere is definitely local and chill. Great place to have a... conversation while eating. The Spicy Basil Noodles with Shrimp was delicious and the correct amount of spicy. The only thingthat is keeping me from giving it 5 stars is that the bathrooms were a bit on the dirty side. Read more
