Excellent place to eat with friends, family, or a fun date night! Service was great, he recommended food & drinks. The kids (12... y.o.) played darts and games while we waited. Date Night Restaurant Roulette brought us here and what a good choice it was! The atmosphere was great and gave a mix of... industrial/garage feel, which was pulled off extremely well. The staff we interacted with were amazing. We began with drinks,Hubby had a Hurricane Season and I had a Painkiller. We love ordering house cocktails as it provides a way to try unique andoriginal cocktails. The drinks were really good. Opting for no appetizers, we ordered our entrees straight away. I chose TheCuban with Mac n? Cheese as a side and Hubby had the Pulled Pork Taco and a cup of Chili. All of our choices turned out to be agood decision, but also what moves the rating from a 5 to a 4. The Cuban, although great flavor did not have the Cuban Sauceor the Sweet Pickle Relish as described on the menu. It just had whole sliced sweet pickles. With no sauce or relish, thesandwich was much drier than it needed to be. It could have also used another slice of Swiss so the nuttiness of the cheesewould compliment the ham and pulled pork. My Painkiller cocktail paired well with this sammie. The ham and pulled pork werevery flavorful. The Mac n? Cheese was yummy. I think it was baked as that is what the texture leaned to. Hubby?s Pulled PorkTaco wasn?t quite as flavorful as he would have liked and the Pineapple Salsa on it was ?okay?. He expressed the Chili was?Okay, given it was black bean chili and I?m not a fan of black beans.? Pretty good. Got there just in time yo get a seat before it began to get really crowded with a wait. I would suggest you go... early (before 11am). This just may be due to it being a new location. I'm sure it will calm down after a while. Food was good.Ordered blackened shrimp tacos and burnt ends. The pickled cucumbers that they give with the ends are delicious! I had to askfor more. Mac n cheese was really good. Nice atmosphere. Will definitely go back. Read more
This place is incredible! Awesome atmosphere, food and music. The manager was very hands on and noticed we sat listening to the... live music while waiting for our table so he offered us a table outside to continue listening. Our server, Michael, went aboveand beyond to give us the best experience as well. We wanted to try a little of everything and he made it happen all he othermaking excellent recommendations for sauces and sides. Can?t wait to go back!! Read more
Today, after attending the NASCAR Bank of America Roval 400 race, Mike and I decided to stop into Mac's Speed Shop for... supper. First, we met Kelly at the door. She's vibrant and sweet and brought us to our table where she treated us so kindly!!So nice that we had the chance to meet her! Then we met Lora who took care of us at our table with the utmost professionalism,very attentive & kind, and GREAT at explaining the food & menu!! She is super sweet, we had a great chat!! The food wasamazing!! You get more than what you pay for, to be honest!! I ordered chicken wings and they were all cooked beautifully,tasted delicious and they were a great size (not small little wings) with a side salad. That salad, which I thought would bereally small, looked (to me) to be almost a meal! Oh and before our meals, Mike and I had chips and salsa, which I think filledus up before our meals arrived lol! Mike ordered a pulled pork platter and he loved it too. He just told me right now "It wasexcccccellent"! Lol! We both actually took half our meals home - and we can't wait to eat the rest tomorrow! Placed an order by phone. The experience was terrible and could be better. I gave her my order then was asked for my phone... number. I gave her my phone number and specifically Carroll for the name multiple times although she didn't ask. When I arrivedthe waitresses acted dumb founded when I asked if I could pickup my order. They asked me for my name I gave them Carroll andagain looked dumb founded. I then proceeded to say I had a call in order then they just looked at me and seemed to know what Iwas talking about. They are not confirming the name and phone number you give. I then proceeded to check the order to which oneof the orders had no fry's at all. They gave me fry's. I asked for extra sour cream on the nachos and there was no sour cream oneither nacho. The service was just mediocre. Absolutely Amazing. I will not hesitate to come back here. I'm actually not from Charlotte, and this is my first time here.... Staff is very friendly and kind. Food was 10 out of 10. We had the ribs and brisket wrap. Come hungry. You will not bedisappointed. Read more
