Reviews for La Auténtica Mexican Restaurant in Concord, NC
First time eating here and I can that I will be coming back. The food was excellent and the service was even better. This is a... small and relatively new restaurant located just off of Eastfield between Highland Creek and Skybrook. The food menu is fairlyextensive and currently you can order off the lunch menu after 3pm for only $1 more. When they bring the chips, you get 3salsas and the verde was incredible. I had the " No Name Dinner" which included 2 crabmeat/shrimp burritos and 2 chickenflautas. Each bite was an incredible combination of taste and texture. It came with the Avocado Delight which was an avocadofilled with pico and topped with salsa. My wife had the tostada and enchilada combo. Also very good. It is a small place, butthe servers deftly move in between all the tables and customers. The manager came out to check on the food and saw him interactwith many of the tables, especially the ones with younger kids. Absolutely a great place for Mexican food! Read more
Wonderful service and delicious food! I loved the green avocado sauce - it was spicy and delicious! Will definitely be... back. The only draw back is the noise level. They really need to ad some sound dampening. Read more
Our first time here. We loved the food and the service was very good. Fresh and fast. We ordered from the lunch menu. I had the... Pollo con Arroz and it was delicious. My wife had the lunch special #1 which was so tasty. It was a great deal in my opinion. The chile relleno is a poblano pepper, which is awesome. We will be back! Read more
We decided to check out this newly opened restaurant on a Sunday evening. I was curious to see it, as the previous tenet was... more of a grab and go spot, with limited seating. The new tenets definitely made full use of all available space and packed inas many tables as possible. Since it is so small, it fills up quickly. The service is top-notch!!!! Our waitress, and all thestaff for that matter, was very attentive and stopped by frequently. We never ran out of chips or drinks. They offer a mild andspicy table salsa as well as a guacamole that was too spicy for me to eat. They were very accommodating of my son's gluten freeallergy and made sure that his meal only contained corn tortillas. All of the food was good. My only complaint, and I ever feelweird saying this, is that my food had too much shrimp. I get it....strange. But I really needed more rice to give it more of avariation of texture. It just felt unbalanced. There was also an unreasonable amount of lettuce. While I plan to return, I willprobably order something different the next time. Read more

What a great little place. Not sure if it?s new but the food was excellent. I had fajitas and the vegetable were fresh and made... perfection. Our waitress Elizabeth was very attentive and we lacked for nothing. We ate outside and were happy with our service. There were options for vegans and they were very willing to accommodate for that. I frequent this restaurant from time to time. Today's visit was the worst experience-I won't be going back! I purchased supreme... nachos w/chicken, two chicken chimichanga meal, two barbacoa tacos and a Burrito Mexicano w/chicken (large burrito) totaling $55w/tip. I expected the food to match the price-it's only right. I asked the manager Evelyn how big was the large burrito becauseI know how small the regular burritos are-I want something bigger. She said "I don't know, the tortilla is like a mediumtortilla". I said "ok fine"-thinking it would have an ample amount of meat in it. Evelyn looked exhausted, was moving slowly andher thoughts weren't clear. I asked her if she was ok because she looked exhausted. She shrugged it off and went to place myorder. When my food was ready, Evelyn sat my food on the table and walked away. I checked my order and found the "large burrito"was quite small. The other waitress called Evelyn over. She pointed out how small the burrito was and so did I. Evelyn'sresponse was, "I told you it was the size of a medium burrito." I said, "yes but I expected it to have some meat in it to matchthe description of a large burrito. It's smaller than the two chimichangas". I asked her to bring a menu, she did. I commencedto read the description out loud, emphasizing the "large burrito". With her exhausted, I don't have time for you attitude andfacial expression, she stated, "Well you can purchase another one." in which I didn't yell, was calm, then simply I replied, "Iwill not." She walked off. No, let me fix this and/or make it right for you or anything. Both me and the waitress were likewow! I informed her I will never eat there again! This is not the first time I've received food that had a small amount of meatin the chimichanga or burrito-this was the last straw! Even my niece said, "my nachos had more chicken than your burrito."Smh! I've attached pics of the food. It shifted a little in the car, which actually made it look bigger t Read more
