Reviews for Ichiban Japanese Steakhouse & Sushi Bar in Concord, NH

Went here in August 2022 and found the wait time reasonable for dinner and the prices were fair; sushi appears to be prepared... fresh on site and the servers were attentive. Bar area seems to be busiest. I did not, however, sit at the bar. I am skepticalwhen I go to a Japanese restaurant and don't see a sushi chef, actually making the sushi for you to see, but I think this wasless of a consideration for this place... maybe not 100% authentic, but still, food here is good and not going to cost a lot fora simple sushi dinner, at least compared to what I am accustomed to. Rice tastes like your eating salt directly from the ocean. Meat is well below sub-par quality. Sauce is watery. Scorpion bowl... too strong. Add this all on top, 5 minutes after being served we were given doggy bags to get us out of the restaurant. First time visiting. Sushi was good. A lot on the menu to choose from so it took me a while to order. I even prepared before... hand by looking at the online menu but got kicked out because they closed. Would have been nice to be able to still see the menuwhen they are closed. I ordered the spicy girl and the golden roll. I wasn?t aware they had hibachi until I went to thebathroom. It was almost tucked away in the back room. That should be front and center in my opinion. Traveling for work and hesitantly ordered chicken hibachi. In my experience hibachi from the kitchen (anywhere) and not the... table is lack luster and often downright nasty. I just received this in a fancy reusable bag, this food is f**king amazing. Ican't express how happy I am, I've forgotten how to function. The empty spot is where 2 shrimp lived before I inhaled them. I'msimply at a loss, this is so good cannot recommend enough. Will order again while I'm in town. Read more

Love eating at Ichiban Steakhouse. Food is excellent as well as the chefs preparing ur food right in front of you at the... Hibachi grill. Good is fresh and plenty of it. You wont go hungry here. Please be patient with restaurants right now. The sushi bar was running a half hour behind. Though we were looking forward to... sushi, we ordered from the kitchen... and we're very pleasantly surprised!! My son had beef pad tai which he loved and I orderedUdon. It was most delicious!! The only reason, I deducted a star was that we were approached by 2 separate wait staff asking forour drink and dinner orders. Oh! Drinks! Vanilla martinis are strong! 2 are enough!!
