Reviews for Luigi's Italian Delicatessen in Concord, CA
Stopped in yesterday for a bite. First time. Staff are nice. But service was really slow. There was also no one there, so I?m... wondering why it took so long to get served. On top of that, they had run out of so many ingredients, I didn?t know what I wasgetting in the end. - Fridges were empty. So either they?re ordering less than what they need, or they had a great weekend, andcompletely sold out about their supplies. Read more
R.I.P. Luigi's. A Concord legend has died. Been coming here for over 40 years. Will not go back. Went in to get lunch with the... family and the place looks like they are out of business. No sodas in the fridges. A couple salads in the counter cooler. Theyguy ordering in front of us was told several times when he was trying to order that they were out of the items he was ordering. Ended up walking out and going down Clayton Rd. to Parma's. They were totally stocked and had great sandwiches and salads. Read more
This place used to be so good! It was always packed and they had so many options. Not sure if Covid made a huge impact or if... they're under new management, but they literally have NOTHING in there except the bare minimum. They used to sell chips anddrinks, and they don't even have those!. I asked if they had their famous garlic mayo and they said they don't have it anymore.Super disappointed and won't be coming back. Bottom line: Great sandwiches. Ordered the Italian Dagwood on sliced sourdough and also on dutch crunch. The sourdough was... good, but would advise a roll as these sandies are PACKED with meat...the sliced bread had a hard time keeping up. The dutchcrunch was very fresh and tasty. Also ordered some tuna salad, mozzarella balls, and a roast beef sandy. All were given verypositive reviews. Prices have gone up (as all prices have). Posting a picture of the menu board as I only found out dated onesonline. Read more
This used to be my favorite sandwich place and I have no idea what happened. I took 9 months off being pregnant and was so... excited to have a sandwich from here again. Sandwich used to be full of meat. Tasted off when I had it, like bad meat, and forthe first time came in at noon with no line. My husband bit into his and spit the bite out because there was some kind of pieceof hard plastic in it. He didn't eat anymore of it. Service was super slow, used to that, but with no line and a pick up orderit took 3 staff, and one in the back who saw me waiting, 5 mins to get to me. Won't be coming back, super bummed about it. Been coming here for years and something is just wrong here now. Looks like they are going out of business with lots of holes... in the store where food used to be. Sandwiches used to be so good and so full of meat. I just got a breadwich. They even saidthey put in extra meat because they didn't have bacon. Looks like they took more off. Not even sure the avocado on here countsas adding avocado. Tried to go back to speak with someone after getting home and saw this sad thing but they are only open 10amto 4pm and closed early. Sad to see this happening as this place was a favorite. Read more
This used to be my favorite sandwich place. It's just not the same anymore. 2 of the last 3 times I went in there was no one in... line and I waited 20 minutes for someone to help me before I just left without getting any food. I decided to give them one lastchance and the sandwich was just ok. There was no meat on almost half the sandwich. The fresh mozzarella balls are the mainreason I would go there but they were hard and definitely not fresh. Read more
Whenever I'm in the mood for a real good sandwich, I always head over to Luigi's deli for an Italian Dagwood. Their customer... service is top-notch and they have the highest quality Italian deli meats in Contra Costa county. Their bread is always so freshand soft. The garlic mayo makes it! Subway can hit the highway! Read more
