Try to order a cheeseburger at 9 o?clock in the morning and The workers refused to cook it saying they don?t start cooking... burgers till 10. So I went to the one on Ryan Road and they made my burger for me. Last time you?ll see me at the Comox one. Whatever happened to all day breakfast and all day burgers like they advertise. Read more
Needs to change their deep fryer oil more often. Food is quite darker than normal due to dirty deep fryer
I had no idea the breakfast would be this good. I had a full real breakfast that included well made bacon and three sausage... that was served on real plates and real cutlery. The sausage was nicely spiced and tasted delicious especially combined with thehashbrown. Add a coffee and breakfast was only around $10. I've never seen this A@W so busy any other time of day, I guesseveryone knew about their breakfast and I just discovered it. Good service ???? Read more
This is the first time being at this A&W Guthrie Road. I am not from the island and was in town visiting my friends. Staff was... super friendly. Service on my side was little slower but it was not a bad thing because the gentleman at the cash register wasin training so that is totally understandable. I have deep doubts about the character of some of the waiters in this restaurant. Yesterday, my wife and I ordered two meals... with coupons at this restaurant. Mama combo for $5.99 and mozza BGRS for $8.99. When I checked out, it was $18.20. My wife saidthe amount was wrong, so I asked for the receipt. I found that I was overcharged for a mama burger at $2.35. I asked thewaitress why, and she said it might be taxes. I don't agree. I also know what the tax rate is and where it should be displayed.She had no choice but to call a waitress to explain. She said that my order of mama combo did not include the price ofhamburgers. Of course, I disagreed with this explanation. So they called another male employee, probably the manager. He lookedat the cashier's computer for a long time and asked me what I wanted. I said that if the price is wrong, I need a refund. Heasked the second waitress to give me a refund. The waitress only gave me a refund of $2. Of course I didn't agree. The waitressasked the male employee again. she gave me another 80cents. She almost threw the money into my hand? I had order properly and the customer service was bad. First is that I try mu best to speak slowly because I know i might have... an accent sometime and the lady in the drive thru was annoyed. I had previous experience where my order was not made correctlyso before I leave, i check my order and behold they forgot to place my 2 chicken wraps inside. So i went it to tell them and thelady who was preparing on the food looks annoyed at my and ungrateful. Not even sincere she forgot to place it and does not wantto accept the mistake. The cashier was nice but my experience with the food preparer is so bad and would never recommend thisA&W franchise.
