Really enjoy the Torpedo Room: the outdoor fire pits, the TVs, the creative beer selection, and the occasional live music. The... energy is also very positive on game day. I would give the food only 3 stars however. It's fair at best. The flat breadsaren't bad, and it seemed like a lot of people were ordering the pretzels. So they must be good. Something off a hidden gem in town. They stock some really quality spirits and are fairly rum forward, oddly enough, but the... cocktail menu leaves a lot to be desired. It's like they couldn't decided to cater quality spirits or silly drinks for the localcollege crowd. Beer options are pretty decent though and you can carry stuff into your theater. The ambiance is reallysomething else though, lovely place. Almost feels like something out of Bio Shock. Usually some classic black and white filmplays over some 40s big band or jazz music. Read more
The Torpedo Room serves as a sit down restaurant area of the concessions from the Gate Film Center. It's menu isn't really much... broader than outside, but the seating and atmosphere are a great way to pass time before or after a show. Good beer selectionand the veggie sandwich is quite good. The lighting is dim and the decor is a bit kitschy but it fits very well with the submarine theme. There's a great selection of... beer and the fact that it is in the same building as Gateway is a huge plus. I probably wouldn't visit unless I were waiting fora movie but the space would be perfect to host a small party in. Read more
A cool spot located inside the Gateway film center. This place features really neat decor in a steampunky/Jules Verne-esque... atmosphere. Great spot to grab drinks before a movie or for happy hour. They feature good specials and the place doesn't getmassively crowded as it is sort of tucked away. A great gem of a bar in Columbus. Read more
Such an interesting concept and even more thoughtfully executed. It really is a unique little bar that is built around a fun... atmosphere for guests. The staff is also extremely nice and knowledgeable. I got an alcoholic slushies and got to sit next to aporthole I'm not sure many people get to say that's something they've experienced in their life so on experience alone 5/5 andonce you add in that the drink I had was also immaculate I wish I could rate them higher ??
