I will say the chicken is good! Overly greasy when you do a pick up, the grease at the bottom of the to-go container is... ridiculous! Then the Mac n cheese is not consistent! Some days it?s amazing, other days taste like it was thrown togetherwithout seasoning! Then today, my cornbread had plastic in it! Like what in the heck! Phenomenal!! It was presented so well. It tasted so delicious, that I couldn't even get a photo of any of it. I had to order... another sandwich to take a photo for this review. I started with the spicy sandwich. Nothing but gold from every bite. Chicken,coleslaw and pickles....nothing was wrong with it. The slaw seemed personally created to kick you in the gut, in a good way.Even my friend, who doesn't even like coleslaw, said the sandwich looked amazingly delicious. The macaroni & cheese wasn't mybiggest favorite. But it was do-able as to compared to others. It could still pass at my families cookout. And then thecornbread....my goodness. I made a reference to a restaurant, Berry's, in the south back in my hometown of Magee, MS for acomparison. It was right up there. If you want some southern food that will impress your aunties, grannies and momma's, comehere. It's well worth the pricing. And you get you money's worth from every bite. The Crispy Coop is quite literally the best fried chicken in Columbus. It is consistently hot and fresh. Generous portions that... will leave you with leftovers. The chicken is so juicy; I usually get traditional and my partner gets the Tennessee Mild, bothare fabulous. The spicy is not too hot. The sides are delicious, especially the mashed potatoes and the slaw, which is basicallya side salad. Most of my experiences with The Crispy Coop has been delivery, but I?ve visited both their Grandview andPickerington locations. The Pickerington location is more commercial or chain like, and the Grandview location has a more diveydiner feel. Both meet the expectations of their neighborhoods.
