This place needs some TLC. The outside is in need of repair with a rusting roof and landscaping that needs to be updated. The... walkway could be replaced, too. Great view if Columbus. Service was great. Food was okay. Read more
I am reviewing a reception of 150 people for our daughter's recent wedding. Ed, Debbie, and the entire Boat House crew provided... a first class event. They even wowed the East Coast crowd with the quality of food, service, and range of gathering spaces. Theballroom was gorgeous. Really nothing at all negative. Ed guided us through the process with kindness, humor, andwisdom. Topping it all off was a sunset golden illumination of the buildings in downtown Columbus. I was here for an event and everything was well done. The views are great and everyone there was friendly and helpful.
Our ceremony at The Boathouse was beautiful. Our only downfall was the communication was lacking during the planning process.... Our initial coordinator left the company, so we went several weeks with no contact person. We were eventually reassigned, butour new contact person was significantly less attentive than our first person. The company also wrote on the calendar that ourrehearsal began 30 minutes later than what our contract stated. The coordinator was meeting with other clients, so we wereforced to wait the 30 minutes to begin. We originally requested to have the bar closed during our ceremony, but it was opened asa cash bar (although it’s not what we planned, this ended up being a wonderful surprise as it was 95 degrees out and ourguests really needed something to drink!) Once things started though, the rehearsal and ceremony ran beautifully. Overall, Iwould recommend this venue, but encourage you to just remember they got things covered and it will be beautiful and perfect(even if you aren’t sure what’s happening during some of the planning phase) Read more
