Reviews for Takorea in Columbus, OH
Great fusion and authentic stuff as well. Awesome Korean wings and even birria tacos and fusion burritos
The chef and bartender were absolutely amazing! I took my sister here for her birthday and we had a great time. We ordered 2 KFC... tacos with one pineapple taco. We also ordered the spicy Korean wings with the birria nachos. All the food we ordered wasincredible! The mixed drinks tasted pretty weak but the mango golden ale was delicious. Our service was very fast and friendly. The restaurant is located inside of a video gaming arena so the atmosphere is definitely geared towards gamers. If it is notyour vibe you can always sit right outside. The courtyard is pretty nice. Keep doing a great job team. I can't wait till youopen your own stand alone restaurant. Read more
Ordered from the Game Arena Takorea location a few times, the Korean Fried Chicken is superb! portions are huge, I get an extra... sauce on the side cause it's just so freakin good Read more
Ate twice so far at their new location inside Game Arena on Gateway. Got the Korean Fried Chicken Quesadilla and Nachos and they... were both amazing! Only warning I'd give is that the nachos aren't a side, they are a whole meal by themselves! Beyond thefood, the gaming center environment was awesome and the staff are super friendly. So glad I walked by after my movie at the FilmCenter! Read more
I ordered through UberEats for pickup. UberEats shows that the restaurant closes at 10pm. I placed my order very late (around... 9:50), and called the restaurant to assure that this was okay and that they received my order. The gentleman on the phone wasvery nice, so I'm sure the service here is great. The bar is actually open until 12am, so I think 10pm is just when the kitchencloses. I ordered the birria quesadilla, and it was phenomenal. It came with pico de gallo, consomme, sour cream, and a queso. The queso was unlike any cheese sauce I've had before, and had such an interesting, unique flavor. The portion was huge (gianttortilla folded in half, filled with delicious meat and veggies, and cut into five triangles) so the price of $16.99 was veryfair (especially with the way prices are these days). If I lived closer (I was on vacation, I live 8 hours away) then I would gohere all the time. That being said, I really hope I can visit and sit down to eat next time I am in Columbus. Read more
Happy to be able to visit the new place in Clintonville. Even got a preview of a new huevos dish, fantastic flavors, textures,... will be popular. The chicken is always great. Another bonus was the tasty noodle dish as well, just delicious all around. Really great fusion, highlighting the wonderful flavors of Korean cuisine. Read more
We had high hopes based on food descriptions but were disappointed. The queso birria tacos were pretty dry. They consist of meat... inside of two tortillas. I found two microscopic pieces of onion and there was a tiny amount of cilantro on top. There was nolime (as pictured), and the salsa was watery and left a lot to be desired flavor-wise. We also tried the chips and guac. Theguacamole has a strange sweetness to it?I wouldn?t order it again. The Korean fried chicken was decent and the best thing wetried. Read more
The Korean fried chicken is fried really nicely. Overall, good but the sauce is way too sweet. Tastes like candy. Just tweak the... sauce a little, and it would be perfect. Read more
