Hard to find but worth the drive! We tried all 7 ciders on tap (in 2 flights of tasters) and really liked the bad blood orange... and swell cold brew ciders...both pretty unique. Bring a growler if you stop by so you can take some cider home! Read more
Mad Moon Cider Taproom is certainly a quiant place to check out. It offers a small selection of different brewed ciders that are... made right there inside of the place. The people who own and run it are absolutely lovely, and the staff is friendly, and theenvironment is cozy and nice. That being said, there are some minor issues with it. The first and biggest of it being location.It's understandable most brewery bars are a little hidden, as to accomadate the actual brewery portion of it, however this placeis notably bad. Squeezed in an alleyway that's between a foreign market and a church, through a long series of winding potholesfollowing signs through a place more fitted for behind the scenes handoffs out of a movie rather than a local bar hangout liesmad moons cider room. If you were not actively looking for it, there would be absolutely no way to ever find it. Once you dofind it, it is quite the treat. However expect for it to not be easy. The second issue, which may not be an issue at all forsome, is space. Again this is something to be expected of a taproom brewery, but it's still a mention. There is a very tightknit lobby, the actual bar holds about 5 people, and there's a small gaming section behind it. Now the description used for thisplace on some local area sites are barcade or bar game room. If you do go here, be warned its only the very bare minimum ofthese standards. There are some lovely board games, as well as a gamecube and n64 for the nostalgic, but dont expect it to meetthe standards of other places using the name barcade or gaming bar. There are no arcade games, there are no pinball machines orpool tables or other quirky frequently found items. Just a singular gaming table, large enough to fit 8, and a smaller TV with ahandful of gamecube games and n64 games. This does add a cozy vibe to the place, but dont expect the works. This place is a little out of the way (see the Google reviews for instructions on how to get there) - but it?s worth it!... Excellent ciders made from Fresh Pressed apples (not from concentrate) with very interesting flavor combinations. I recommendthe semi dry ciders, but while you?re here just grab a flight and try them all! You may be lucky enough to meet the owner :) Read more
