Food is okay Mexican food, but DO NOT order margarita pitchers because they’re a rip off. And apparently the owner wants to... trick customers into paying more for less. The 4 of us were going to get the same type of margarita so I said we’d just take apitcher. The pitcher came and it only filled 4 glasses - but was more expensive than ordering 4 separate drinks! ($8 per drinkvs $40 per pitcher). We pointed this out to the server and she acknowledged that the pitchers are a worse deal than orderingindividual drinks (which makes no sense!), said she’s “not allowed to undersell” to tell us that it was a bad deal, didn’t apologize, and didn’t offer to update the check to only have us pay for 4 drinks. There’s no way that we’re thefirst people who’ve realized the numbers don’t add up. It’s just crazy to me that this place’s business model is toscrew over customers so nobody ever comes back again? My girlfriend and I sat down for Dinner at 8pm. The bar top was super clean and we noticed other tables were the same. “We... learned you have to serve yourself for chips and salsa.” What a novel idea! (Never have I seen this at a Mexican restaurant.)Bartender took our order, and food came out 15 mins later. The silverware was brought with the food. The chicken fajita burritowas very tasty, a ton of flavor and a explosion of black beans “delicious”. Never have I had fajitas burritos with blackbeans before. The bill was very reasonable for post Covid prices. I really enjoyed serving myself chips & salsa, thecleanliness, and food Quality. I will be coming back in the future and I definitely do recommend. A friend and I sat down for Lunch at 3pm when this place opened up. The table we got still was sticky, and had crumbs from... previous patron the day before, we noticed other tables were the same. “We learned you have to serve yourself for chips andsalsa.” “Not very sanitary”. (Never have I seen this at a Mexican restaurant.) Waitress took our order, and food came out25 mins later. They did not give out silverware with the food. The chicken fajita burrito was very bland, no flavor and aexplosion of black beans “Gross”. Never have had fajitas burritos with black beans before. The bill was very pricey forhaving to serve myself for chips & salsa and not being very clean, and food Quality was not good. I will not be coming back inthe future and I definitely don’t recommend unless you wanna get sick. (Make them clean the tables) Read more

This particular location is very solid, and very consistent with regard to the experience. The food is excellent, and over the... years I've been going to this location I've only ever had poor service once, and that guy was gone very quickly. The staff isvery friendly, and very obviously like each other. I don't drink often and am not an expert judge of the bartending, but I havebeen very satisfied with the drinks I've ordered. Read more

I ate a delicious "middle-afternoon" meal [neither lunch nor supper] earlier today [8-4-2022] at Local Cantina Grandview. I had... eaten yesterday [8-3-2022] at Local Cantina Brewery District [at 743 S. High St.]; I then decided, this afternoon, that I wouldeat -- for two days in a row -- at a Local Cantina restaurant [though at a different restaurant each day]. I ordered and ate mytraditional "Plain Jane Cheese" quesadilla and "Street Corn." My "Street Corn" had been slightly different from the "StreetCorn" that I had eaten yesterday [at Local Cantina Brewery District] but had been just as delicious. The only change that I hadnoticed had been that my "Street Corn" had cost $7.00 rather than $6.00. My server told me that Local Cantina is in the middleof a "menu change" but that not all Local Cantina restaurants will be changing menus at the same time. My server later told methat Local Cantina Grandview is the first location of Local Cantina that had opened. I would define that location as a "stealth"Local Cantina because they do not have the familiar large orange awning in front of their building that I have seen at two oftheir other locations. They are immediately west of Aladdin's Eatery Grandview but are far less visible than Aladdin's EateryGrandview. The wall decorations at Local Cantina Grandview are as varied and interesting as they are at their several otherlocations. If you are looking for a delicious meal at a location that has many interesting wall decorations, I stronglyrecommend Local Cantina Grandview. Read more

I can’t think of a better place Id rather go for taco Tuesday! Everything was so so good, service was amazing and fast,... specially taking in consideration how busy they were (duh, taco Tuesday night!) Read more

Nice place to grab a bite to eat. Pretty standard mexican fare. Good street tacos with lots of different types. The food itself... is pretty good but a little overpriced for what you get. 3-4 dollars for a taco. So if you get more than just tacos it can get alittle expensive for what it is. But if you go on taco tuesday all tacos are 2 dollars except for some specific tacos which isan awesome deal. The atmosphere is good but the music was too loud. It was hard to hear the person sitting directly across fromme which made it difficult to have a conversation. Good experience over all but nothing incredible. Read more

Really like this place. Showed up on a crazy busy night with a huge group. Service was really good. Our waitress was great and... handled multiple tickets and constant ordering like a boss. Serve yourself chips and salsa while waiting for food, love it. Ihad street tacos and they have plenty of varieties to choose from. Very good and I will have to go back to try others. Pricewas reasonable too. If you like IPA, try the fat head’s hop stalker if available. Give ‘em a try. Read more
