This one of the best Uber eats deliveries I?ve ever had .I ordered 2 meals to try a variety.The portions were not large but... adequate.I was full and satisfied but I usually eat portion controlled meals.The food was fresh tasty and convenient.Lightlyseasoned no overly powerful flavors.I definitely recommend this place the food was flavorful and the prices were good .There waslots of care put into this meal . I too am disappointed at the negative reviews for LaGlory?s. My husband and I were in town from MD and searched for soul food.... Since we aren?t from the area, we had difficulty locating the restaurant and called. A lovely woman answered the call and verypolitely provided directions. After a few minutes elapsed and we hadn?t shown up, she called us back. When we arrived we foundthe staff polite and friendly. We both couldn?t pass up on fried chicken, mac n cheese and we also enjoyed yams. The food wasfresh, tasty and satisfied our desire. Worst food I ever received from a restaurant! The fish smelled like feces. After taking one bite I spit the fish out and threw... it away after taking this picture. Made attempts to call and report the bad food they did not answer the phone (as if they knewthe food was messed up!) Finally reach them and complained about food and they blew us of by never calling us back. so wasted24.00 and the time it took to get the food. Hate to give a bad review to any small business but they had a chance to make itright and still dropped the ball! Totally disgusted! Update: This response from the owner is 10 times worst than being ignored.My original review was 100% the truth of what my husband and I experienced with the food. After placing the order a gentlemancalled back to advise you all were sold out of perch at lunch time. He was very polite so we ended up getting two catfishcombos. My disgust with the food was so bad because I never had to just throw away an entire order of food due to the smell,like it was soaked in chitlin water. The texture of the fish seemed undercooked and it was pinkish but hard to capture inpicture. It wasn?t easy to detect as the outside looked perfect so i thought maybe i should advise them they had some bad fishin the batch???The day it happened we called the main number and the number I received a call back on several times and no oneanswered when the restaurant should have been open for several more hours. I never spoke to this owner so I have no idea whythis assumption would?ve been made that you know who I am. I never had an issue with wanting to purchase additional sides soyou must be thinking of a different dissatisfied customer. Ok, first of all I?m trying to figure out why there are so many bad reviews. Because in MY opinion this food is delicious. As... you can see from the photo there is a great portion size, so you DO get plenty. (If you want more buy more). The smothered porkchops are SO tender and delicious. I inhaled them. The greens and mac and cheese were also wonderful. They greens were not underor over cooked and seasoned just right. The corn bread was fresh and just the right amount, and my banana pudding was to diefor. The price was extremely reasonable for a small business. Thanks so much guys! Will definitely buy again. They have some pretty amazing fried pork chops. Wasn't a big fan of the meatloaf or the cabbage but the yams are top notch!... Looking forward to trying more of their fish items. The staff there is really friendly and fun to talk to! They have some reallyawesome banana pudding cake that I am beginning to need regularly! Great local soul food option! Read more
