I tried this place for the first time today. I tried it based off of there reviews which was very good, however it was average... the ribs definitely do not fall off the bone in fact there a tad bit tough, the rolls were also tough. The macaroni salad wasgreat the baked beans average. The sauce on the ribs was a bit to sweet and too tangy my girlfriend and I both felt the sameabout the food. Had our company picnic there. Not only was the shelter beautiful Carol and her team went above and beyond to make it a wonderful... experience. Small quite place with great food. Now everytime I go in there is one or two customers but don't be afraid to ask them whats... good? The lady running the floor will talk your head off so be ready for small talk. Read more
First off, don't let the fact that JP's barbecue is located at the Bolton airfield deter you because it shouldn't as the food is... fantastic. I got a grilled chicken sandwich and onion rings and my wife got the half slab of ribs and a couple sides. Thegrilled chicken was perfectly and the barbecue and Carolina gold sauces that they provide, I'm not sure what's in them, but theyare delicious. The onion rings were cooked just right. Not too crispy, not soft and my wife said the ribs were the best sheever had. I'm not big on ribs for a few different reasons, but the rib meat fell right off the bone and they were tender andsavory like I've never tasted before. We had a great dinner and we had great service. Angel was a lot of fun! But, I'm sorry I was thoroughly disappointed with my... ribs. I got the quarter rack and quarter chicken combo is order chicken combo with potato salad and salad. My chicken wasabsolutely delicious possibly the best chicken I've ever eaten! They were very thin and way way overcooked I couldn't even eatthem and I was really looking forward to them. They were too tough to bite. Went with another driver and got pulled pork sandwich, fries, and coleslaw for $11 which included a drink. Great deal with... friendly service. It's right on the airport which is kind of cool. You also have room for tractor parking in front of the place. Read more
Service was good and fast. They have free to play mini golf, horse shoes, and beach volleyball. Its just a fun place to go.
Been a regular all my life. You can't beat JP's. Wonderful staff and great atmosphere right on the airport. Perfect place to eat... and watch airplanes at the same time. Read more
