This was only my second time dining at Forbidden Root and have been extremely satisfied both time. My partner and I started with... the pork and sauerkraut balls and 6-piece wings with white Alabama sauce. The pork and sauerkraut balls were amazing; the wingswere cooked perfectly, but I didn’t care for the white sauce as it just tasted like mayonnaise. For the entrees, I had thesalmon sandwich with was perfect and a nice change. The salmon was cooked to perfection and served hot, the spicy slaw wasexcellent. My partner ordered the FR burger and to his surprise it was cooked exactly how he ordered (doesn’t happen mostplaces). Forbidden Root is a great place to grab dinner before a movie or while shopping. Tried Forbidden Root for our 14th anniversary and we impressed. Service and food were phenomenal. Great atmosphere. Tried 6... of their beers, a beer cheese and crackers, the pork and sauerkraut balls, and the duck and dumplings. Delicious and willdefinitely be back. Read more

It was a fun place with a cool vibe. I had a hot chicken sandwich which was very tasty, candied bacon that tasted very sweet,... and some chips as well. The bacon might gave been better like hard. I was happy with the sandwich, was really what I was lookingfor and tasted great. The wait time was really long, much longer than the eta that was given, and we had to stand the entiretime. Fantastic food and atmosphere. I love the industrial feel and the beer flights. The specials are a great value too. We had the... Monday burger special, the Reuben, carrot cake, and ice cream/porter combo. 2+ months later... We come back every week for theMonday burger special which includes a beer and a shot of bourbon. Service was great. I was with a party of five we walked in and a few of us needed masks and they did provide them at the door.... Jordan our waitress was very kind and gave us all great beer recommendations and food recommendations. Three of us got the Duck& Dumplings($19). The dish itself was good. Although I do think the quantity of duck was a little underwhelming for $19. One ofmy friends got the Nashville Hot Chicken($15) he said it was more of a buffalo chicken sandwich. He said it was good for what itwas. The fries were nice and crispy. Another friend of mine got the Farfalle Ezme($15) this dish was probably the best value onthe table. The flavor and cook on the pasta were perfect as well. Forbidden Root Columbus is a good place to go to for drinksand good food. Read more

The Monday Burger, Beer, and Bourbon deal is pretty solid. The Burger was excellent, the beer was decent, and the bourbon was... okay. The French fries were very dry with little flavor unfortunately.
