Reviews for Chapman's Eat Market in Columbus, OH
Chapman’s was amazing! We went for my birthday dinner because we heard from a friend that Chapman’s was the best restaurant... in the city. It definitely did not disappoint. Unfortunately I only have a photo of my drink because I was so eager to eat Iforgot to take photos of everything else. We got the General Tao’s cauliflower and it was amazing! 100% recommend to anyone asan app. Our server was amazing as well and really made it an experience for us. She helped a ton explaining the dishes andguiding us to what we might like the best. Definitely a great restaurant to check out! Read more
There aren't words to describe my appreciation and enjoyment of the Chefs for Roe tasting tasting experience. I savored every... sip and bite of the 8-course menu. No idea how 8 different chefs pulled it off without a hitch other than they were uberprepared and motivated by the cause. All dishes were above and beyond but my standouts were the Crab, Wax Pepper, Masa, Pepitaand the Fresh Rice Noodle. Both left me wanting more from these talented artist chefs. I hope Chapman's does something similaragain and I have the opportunity to participate. Read more
Great restaurant, from a chef-owner duo who have 6 Michelin stars between them. Focused menu with a slight nod to SE Asia,... though several dishes depart from that geo-inspiration. All the servers were fantastic - knowledgeable, personable and willingto offer an informed perspective when asked. Loved my dishes - Scallop appetizer, Lamb shoulder entree and Boudino (custard)dessert. Columbus is blessed to have these guys. Read more
Size portion of food was a bit on the smaller side but it was just right for me and hubs. May not be worth what you are... expecting to pay with that amount. Taste wise though, it was worth every penny! Ordered 2 apps, the Summer Squash Salad whichwas surprisingly super tasty, especially with the crunch of the pistachios. Seared Scallops & Corn was soooooo good with thatlittle touch of spiciness. I got the Com Tam cause that's what everyone recommended and it did not disappoint! An excellentversion of the Vietnamese dish with a super soft and tender pork shoulder marinaded w/ lemongrass that goes excellently with thebroken rice and smashed cucumbers. Hubs got the Catfish which we weren't sure if it was a good idea but believe or not, it wasmade perfectly! Hubs loved the flavor and how it was cooked just right. We don't usually stay for dessert but since we had agift card, we did not regret paying extra. We asked for recommendation from our waitress and she suggested the Maple HazelnutBudino (usually we get disappointed with recommendations from the staff but OMGEEEEEE! TRY IT!) It was light and fluffy and notat all sweet to the point of, it's just sweet. I don't even know how to explain it but it's definitely a must have! Also got apavlova and same thing, sweetness was just right, only thing was the lemon flavor was just slightly overwhelming but once youeat it as a whole, it's a perfect combo. Frustrating had to wait the beginning of the month to reserve a table for a month out- had to cancel 1st time so had to reserve again. (Though, you can always just drop by before 5pm and try to grab a patio tableor the bar, but pretty long line). Besides that, THIS IS AN EXPERIENCE TO ENJOY! We loved the vibe of the restaurant, a littlerustic and super comfortable atmosphere with dim lights but not too dim that you can't get a good picture of the food. Even thebathrooms are a must go lol, they got toothpicks and hairbands if you forgot yours). Staff was super dup Read more

Top 50 restaurants in the United States by The Times is kinda a big deal, so I had to check it out. Super hard to get a... reservation, but after I was able to land a table, I waited patiently for 3 weeks. In line, I learned the secret to getting insame-day... Follow me on my blog for the secret... JK, just show up at the time they open and ask to sit at the bar: first comefirst serve. The ambiance is super cool and eclectic Bohemian decor interior, and the staff had the quirky, gregariouspersonality to boot. Service was absolutely impeccable. The appetizer of the day was a ricotta cheese toast with fava beans, pine nuts, and local greens. Usually would not pick something like this off a menu, but it was great. For an entree, I orderedC?m T?m and it was wonderful - pork cooked to perfection, and packed with flavor. Kitchen also brought out a plate of theirfries on the house - fried in beef fat and clarified butter (no ketchup necessary). For dessert, they had an ice cream basedaround "dipping your fry in a Wendy's frosty" and that was such a smart pairing. House also sent out the other two flavors toensure my night was capped off right. Super awesome experience, I will be coming back every chance I get. Read more
I can wholeheartedly say that Chapman's is one of the best tasting dinners and all around dinning experiences I have had in my... 26 years in Columbus. The staff is wonderful and knowledgeable. Our server Collin was great! The cauliflower bites, crispychicken and budino absolutely stole the show and are must haves. The cauliflower is the attached photo. Read more
From start to finish, this place was delightful. Every single dish coming out of the kitchen has so much attention put into it.... The front of the house was very attentive, and the service timing was perfect as well. I unfortunately can't pick any onefavorite dish, as we tried about a dozen. The squash, wings, and com tám are definitely deserving of kudos. Fair warning, thisplace is booked about a month in advance, so get them rezzies in early. The bar is first come, first serve though, so you cantry your luck there. Well done to the front and back of house, and the management. This place is one of my new favorites inColumbus. Read more
