Reviews for Bob's Bar in Columbus, OH
Yesterday [10-8-2022], I briefly visited Bob's Bar [also known as "The Cultural Hub of the Midwest"] at 4961 N. High St.... immediately south of the Graceland Shopping Center. Since my name is Bob, I have wanted to visit Bob's Bar ever since firsthaving learned about that bar. I had not had the opportunity until yesterday to visit Bob's Bar because I am usually riding pastthere (1.) in a car [with someone else driving] or (2.) on a #2 [or #102] COTA bus [with someone else driving]. Neither of thosesituations has ever provided the best opportunity for me to visit there. Yesterday had been a great time for me to visit Bob'sBar because I had been walking south from the Graceland Shopping Center, with sufficient time to briefly visit Bob's Bar, whileon my way to an event at Mozart's Cafe [five blocks to the south]. I spent only eight minutes at Bob's Bar yesterday but verymuch enjoyed my brief visit. I first took several photographs of the illuminated "1960s-style" "BOB'S BAR" sign above the frontdoor and then entered the building. I told the woman behind the bar that my name is Bob [to explain why I had wanted to visitthere]. I told her that I would be taking a few photographs for Google Maps; I then walked around for the next several minutesand took several photographs. My practice, whenever I am taking photographs for Google Maps, is to include as few people aspossible in those photographs. It would have been great to have taken a photograph of a small group of people playing dartsthough I chose not to do so. I did take a photograph of a not-being-used-at-the-time pool table because no people had beennearby. I made sure to take a photograph of the huge "BOB'S BAR" sign that had been painted [using two-foot-tall capitalletters] on the interior wall of Bob's Bar immediately inside of the front entrance; I also took a photograph of the wall behindthe bar that includes an "Elvis-Presley-themed" neon sign. It's been a fantastic night at Bobs bar! Great choice of beers. The front and the area looks uninviting but you'll feel well... inside! Much recommended. Read more
I went across the street to Bob's Bar because Eldorados had a lengthy power outage last Friday. It was fun and I met some old... friends there. I'm going to be there when I am not at my favorite bar across the street. EVERYONE WINS!???? Read more

I only stopped by here to get a drink after work. This bar only has like 5 parking spots and one entrance. It's a very local bar... from the patrons to the bartenders to the vibe itself. It feels... great. From the Monday and Wednesday evenings I came in hereif was quiet and had actually good music playing. Punk, rock, indie and blue grass. There's this big old bartender that has abeard that sticks out from his mask that made me feel very welcome, automatically knowing it was my first time here. The bar hasa golf game by the front that people play and watch. 1 pool table i haven't seen used but as I'm looking around now I need togive credit to their beer selection! Even in covid times this bar didn't lose its charm. Highly recommend just to sit at a barthat no one knows you but treats you like you've been there your whole life. Read more
