We arrived Tuesday before 4 pm. When the hostess seat us towards the back of the restaurant even though the front was completely... empty and I have to use a walker and I went with my Mother. The hostess didn't even ask where she seated us was okay, just placethe menus down and took off. My mom had trouble sitting down at the booth. When the waiter came he moved us further back rightnext to a large table with all the old food and dirty dishes on there. We did not see any large party leaving the parking lot orrestaurant when we came in. I think that dirty stuff was there for a while and would of been there if I didn't say anything. Thereason I did say something about the place being filthy is because the table the waiter put our menu down and wanted us to sit there was covered in some pink syrup stuff and he was not going to wipe it off till I mention that. Then I look behind as I wasseating down and the hostess sat the couple behind us at the first table. I guess they make the couple with one person who has awalker and an elderly person all the way back. When we received our drinks the ice tea's were very weak, so the waiter put on afresh pot, which we did appreciate. The waiter must of been having a tough day since he was not friendly at all and the entiretime he talked or acted as if he maybe had a migraine. He never asked how our appetizer, salad or dinner was. The food wasexcellent except for my Caesar salad lettuce was half brown. We would of order dessert too, but he didn't ask and brought thebill and ask if we wanted boxes before we were done. I assume that meant he wanted us out even though they really were not thatbusy. We usually go to the Marion location since we live right in the middle, however we were out near Lewis Center, which isright around the corner from Polaris, so we went there. A family member bought me a $25 gift card a few years ago for Christmas. I didn't use it for years because I had a few negative... experiences in various Applebee's locations. I finally tried to use it on 7/18/22 at the Polaris Parkway location in Columbus,OH. They said they couldn't run the card because it's older & had no pin code. I read online that these cards never expire, butapparently mine has, so I was unable to use the balance. I called the customer service number listed on the back of the giftcard, but was informed by an representative that they are unable to assist with gift cards. So in essence my family memberbought me nothing but a piece of plastic that fits into my wallet with Applebee's printed on it. Also during this visit toApplebee's we ordered spinach dip, cheese bites, two orders of boneless wings & ordered 4 different flavors of sauces with thewings. The server brought out 8 large sauces in total, which was twice as many as we ordered. My understanding is you get onesauce with each order, but on the bill we were charged for 8 sauces at $.50 each totaling $4.00 + tax & a higher tip percentageamount. The cheese bites were good, but the spinach dip was the worst I've ever tasted. We had to eat the chips without the dip.We tried to order the pretzels, but were informed they had run out of pretzels so we ordered the spinach dip instead. A managerdidn't bother to come to the table in regards to the gift card, even though the server had to ask a manager about it, so wedidn't even bother to ask about the extra charges for sauces or the horrible dip. I can't see myself & my family returning toany Applebee's going forward, as we couldn't receive any help via the customer service line or even have a manager come to thetable to discuss the gift card. I decided to just pop into the Applebee's on Polaris parkway to grab a beer and an appetizer. Sitting at the bar was nice but it... was cold. I mean the whole time hands were freezing. I ordered the Wonton Tacos and the Tex Mex Shrimp bowl to be keep my mealunder 1300 calories along with my Blue Moon Beer. The tacos were delicious and the bowl was a nice new addition to the menu. Theactual menu has been updated which was nice as well. The Bartender Jenica was pleasant and attentive. I would recommend stoppingin for a look at the new menu. #scotchwithe Read more
Okay dude straight up this asd the best experience I've ever had at an applebees. Like forreal not just because the food was... delicious and it was and we also got it super quick hut because of the staff! For real I ordered coffee and they didn't havecreamer so the mangers when and got us creamer. No one ask them to do that but they did! I found that incredibly awesome! I'venever had anything like that happen ever so besides the typical applebee's experience which is a good one for the most part thisdistinctly stuck out to me and that is something I will never forget I really appreciated that and I will be returning to thisrestaurant again in the future. WONDERFUL WONDERFUL FOOD AND SERVICE! The service was so quick, our food came quickly, and our server Keyana (I MAY NOT HAVE... SPELLED THIS CORRECTLY LOL) did a TERRIFIC job. I ordered for pick up between clients today. My order was supposed to be ready between 3:05 & 3:15. I came in at 3pm to let them... know I had arrived & waited 30 mins for them to tell me that the kitchen skipped over my order & hadn?t even begun to make it.So I now have no time to eat anything. No form of discount for my inconvenience was offered. Just a sorry & your refund will becredited in 3-5 days. Meanwhile, this is my lunch. Read more
