Tried to order food today and they hung up on me twice. 100 dollars of business gone lol. Never going here again.

Not knowing where to go on a Chilly Saturday night, I decided to try out Umi?s in Columbus Mississippi. I love sushi but Being... very picky I am always in search of the freshest and best. Well I wasn?t disappointed! I Sat down and was greeted with the mostbeautiful warm smile from an Asian waitress. She Guided me through the sushi menu and I decided on trying a mix of sushi andsashimi with Red Tuna, White tuna, salmon, surf clams, with a side of spicy mayo. After my first bite and looking up, I expectedto see the ocean and harbor of fishing boats in my view because this sushi was so fresh! Each bite melted in my mouth and thetouch of spicy mayo, a thin slice of ginger with a dab of wasabi, dipped in soy sauce highlighted each bite! Soooo GOOD! Restaurant is clean. It had good seating. Boths have plenty of room and you can move the table for extra room if need. Food... is really good. They have standard sushi. No sea urchin roe or gizzard shad. No super special items but the food they do havenever disappoints. Read more

When we walked in, the hostess appeared to be something straight out of hot topic. The remainder of the staff followed suit. We... sat down to a menu that was sub par to their online menu with zero descriptive factors of the food to come. We ordered egg rollsto start, filet hibachi x2 with miso soup, and sake to drink. The egg rolls were frozen (admitted to us by the server afterthey were delivered hot on the outside and cold in the middle). The salad had a delicious dressing, but the miso was watery andit was easy to tell not much miso was used. The hibachi was undercooked and raw in the middle. We both ordered medium rarefilets and the steak in the middle was could to the touch. The yum yum sauce (tasted like a mix of yum yum sauce and spicy Mayo)on the table was room temperature and definitely watered down. After hearing of our disappointment, they replaced our app withtheir version of crab rangoons, which are made in house, and they were actually pretty good! I was the very first person in the restaurant at 4:30. I placed my ?fried rice? order. I paid for it before I got it because... they said this was a new requirement. I might add others came in and we?re not asked to pay for it before they got their order.I was told the order would be ready in about 20 minutes. I felt like that was a reasonable wait. I gave them about 25-30 minutesfor a just in case. When I went inside I waited another 20-25 minutes. I waited patiently. After a few more minutes i noticedthat several other people had gotten their orders. Dine in and take out alike I inquired why was my order taking so long. I wastold they did not know. I usually go there 2-3 times a week and spend anywhere from $30.-$45. Per visit. After this time itwill be a very very long time before I visit there again. I will add that the manager was nice and gave a $5.00 gift card formy wait. But as a manager I feel that I should have had a better explanation and maybe he should have been more on top of thesituation Especially after he saw me standing waiting for more than 30 minutes.
