In short I spent just over $10 bucks on garbage. My friend picked up food for me and dropped it off at my job. I called the... store because I got the wrong order and the grill slip and the cashier's receipt didn't even match. I called to be told thatthe girl on the window was new. That's fine but proper and comprehensive training ensures that wrong orders don't go out of thewindow. I told the manager I'd like a refund and he told me I'd have to come in the next day to get it. Cool. I even offeredto bring the food back because I wasn't going to eat it. He declined taking the food back. My friend and I both went the nextday. I went in and no one pays attention to the counter anymore so I went through the drive thru. The female manager told methey don't do refunds and tried to tell me the manager we talked to wasn't even working the day before. She was rude and inreturn I was rude back. Not the best way to handle it I know but when someone is nasty to me I won't roll over and accept it. The end result is I was screwed out of money and we'll never go back to Steak N Shake period. Steak 'n shake is always a good place to Stop for a late night meal and a shake. Food had always been fresh and the shakes have... always been tasty. They also give my dogs ???? a cup of whip cream to snack on when we got the drive through. ???? That is verycourteous and the ???? ???? line it when they get their cup. Thanks guys. You're the best. Not sure I like Not having a waitress, but it worked. Also wondering why I would leave a tip? When food is ready I had to pick... up, so to me I paid for them to prepare my food , I did the rest. Plus hard to find a table that was clean. Read more

I have visited 3 times this summer with 3 grandkids 5,7 and 12. They like the way to order and the food is always good and the... milk shakes are hard to beat. I have been a customer for over 60 plus year and don't believe they have ever made a mistake withmy meals unlike other similar reasturats. I guess these restaurants have changed very little over time. If the change isnecessary to keep stores open I all for it. Read more
Completely dead inside. No more table service. Took at a kiosk to order. Very weird. We didn't enjoy our food this time. Mine... was a ketchup burger, you know more ketchup on it instead of beef. Cup of chili was good. Tables looked dirty. Watched cook,constantly rubbing his nose with gloves on then go back to cooking food or play on his phone with his gloves on then go cookmore. My family and I decided to stop in for dinner since we hadn?t been in awhile. Walk through and you order your own food on a... kiosk. That is fine, understandable with the way people don?t want to work. We were not greeted one time being there. My wifegot food poisoning or something from her milkshake.
