I ordered online take out last night and had multiple issues with my order. I was very surprised to discover when I got home all... rhe issues with missing items I paid extra for and the lack of missing items that come with my order. I was very upset anddisappointed so I called to get the issue resolved because at the least I expected to receive what I paid for. I spoke withManager Samantha who was obviously amazing. As someone who has been in customer services for years I was impressed with her. Shetook ownership immediately, showed empathy and was quick to offer resolution while still being polite. There was no back andforth. She listened to my issues and made it right. Samantha 100% needs a raise for her outstanding customer service. It wasrefreshing to see someone go above and beyond to make it right when it wasn't an issue she created. We need more people likeSamantha. I was prepared to never eat there again but I will for sure return because I know they have a wonderful Manager onstaff who knows what's customer service is about. I am so surprised I have not previously reviewed this place. First off Columbus is my hometown and country?s barbecue is one of... the most popular barbecue places in our hometown. My favorite thing to order from country?s barbecue is the smoked turkey anddressing plate that is offered on Fridays. The sweet tea is perfect and delicious as well as the banana pudding. First time here. Would pass by frequently and see it was packed, which it was again today..30 min wait but ended up sitting at... the bar. Had a smoked turkey sandwich, side of fries, 2 waters and a conglomeration platter..$25. Definitely can't complainabout the prices but the food was okay, one and done is good for me. Smoked turkey was good, fries were cold but when I let thewaitress know she did bring me hot ones, so that was good. The cornbread on the platter was cold and hard, the sweet potato asyou see is huge and was good with the side of cinnamon provided. The platter had beef, chopped pork and ribs... nothingspecial...the three barbecue sauces weren't super special either and all were thin and watery, personally I like a thickersauce. I do like the huge cups they give for drinks! Also, to me being from the South, if your a barbecue joint, I absolutelyneed to see Mac n cheese as a side option but I was disappointed when I noticed that it wasn't..again personal opinion. I really should review this as a "0" stars. When my son and I ordered fried pickles they came out totally fried dry and then... sent them back only to relieve a new order that was fresh but had a curly "Q" pube hair wrapped in one of the fried picklebatter. When we walked out my son told me that a few guys from the kitchen walked to our table and started laughing. I willnever eat here again! Read more
I Ordered a small Pork Chef Salad almost All the meat on it was fat . When you order a salad you expect lean cuts of the meat.... My husband lived in Columbus for 15 years and bragged on this establishment and needless to say I?m not impressed. From notbeing greeted when we entered the door to the poor quality of food. I've be going to Country's off and on for over 30 years. Everytime I go back to visit Columbus I always have to stop. Really... good food for decent prices. The Conglomeration platter is always a great go to. It will definitely fill you up. Always greatstaff! Sometimes a little wait depending on group size but nothing terribly long. Only downside this go around was the friedpickles. They are tasty but this time they came out saturated in grease. Other than that, Country's has been a near and dear goto since I could remember.
