One of the last old school Mexican places out there. If your old like me and remember the Era of chi chis... LA Casita was also... around in that Era. Our food was cooked to perfection. Service was good. Drinks were really good. Read more

First time here , it?s a very nice restaurant and big space . Very authentic decoration and the food was very good ! Price and... amount of food was good . The taste was great ! Not too spices flavored which is always a plus !! Sometimes when trying to makeauthentic Mexican food it can be very exaggerated and it won?t be good for your taste and for your stomach ;) . So I highlyrecommended ! Try the ? la casita platter ? Read more

For those of us that like tastey margaritas, enchiladas, burritos tacos, and great service, this is your destination on Central... Ave near 694. Best service by the nicest staff makes this a favorite of ours. The combo platters are fresh and filling. A livelybar with plenty of screens allows you to view your favorite team as they get annihilated by the competition. Fortunately, thebartender is fast, friendly and makes a mean margarita. Be sure to look for a coupon in your mailbox to make your bill shrink asyour belly expands. Read more

Great service, first and foremost! The food was pretty good, nothing crazy to write mom about.. However, very fresh! The... guacamole is absolutely on point. The tomatillo salsa was suuuper good! The Shrimp Chimichanga was really good, wouldn't suggestgetting the cheese on it, I believe they use some kind of cheddar for the cheese sauce, not a great choice for something likeshrimp but works really well for chicken or steak. On a side note the shrimp was blackened and seasoned really really well!Definitely a great place for a family get together! The interior is very nice, clean definitely lives up to the name. Three of us ate here two had the Pollo Fundido, one had the Carne Asada. The Pollo Fundido was excellent, nicely spiced shredded... chicken in a deep fried burrito topped with a sour cream sauce and loads of melted cheddar cheese. Delish! It was served withbeans and rice. The char grilled Carne Asada steak was very tender and flavorful, highly recommend. The accompanying cheeseenchilada was perfect. All meals were served quickly and the food was hot. The Coronarita Margarita was not good, the beer overpowered the margarita. It lacked enough sweet and sour to blend with the Corona beer giving it the taste of a watered down beerrather than a margarita. Maybe just an off day as I did not see a full-time bartender behind the bar. The menu prices are fair. The restaurant is clean, the windows are clean, the bathroom was clean the walls and floor surrounding the table was clean. This is one of the better Mexican Restaurants in the Twin Cities. I would highly recommend it. Nothing fancy just goodfood. We only recommend the La Casita located in Columbia Heights. We have tried the Springbrook Dr, MPLS location three timesdefinitely not as good. Read more

This is one of my favorite Mexican restaurants. It?s a family-owned business with several restaurants around the metro. You... won?t find a more enjoyable dining atmosphere. The prices are affordable and the platter sizes generous. You can makesubstitutions without hassle or up-charge (like grilled vegetables instead of rice). And the freshly made chips and salsa theybring to the table...let?s just say, ?Keep them coming.? Read more
