It was a respectably fancy meal. I really enjoyed their walleye and the coffee was better than I?d of expected for a restaurant... that doesn?t specialize in it (they brought the French press to the table). The server was very professional. Some of mycompanions thought that the bartender was curt, but I did not experience this personally. Their outdoor waiting area was morepleasant than the benches that are typical of restaurants. We waited under the umbrella-ed tables out front and were allowed toget drinks from the bar until a table indoors opened up. I would dine here again if I was looking to treat myself to someupscale food. Read more

My husband and I were in town for our wedding/honeymoon trip. We ate at nice/popular restaurants almost every night and Three... Forks was, hands down, the best dinner we had all week!! The chicken entree was delicious. And Emerson, our server, was verysweet and provided great service. Read more

Our family identified Three Forks Grille as a destination for a nice dinner with their diverse and thoughtful menu. We ordered... the Avocado Fritters and some sour dough bread with hummus as appetizers. The fritters were full of bright flavors and avocado. The bread was as expected, and the hummus drew many expressions of delight from our crew, especially with regard to what wethought was some spicy fresh garlic. The Stuffed Zucchini squash was a good seasonal option, but mostly unremarkable. Two ofus ordered the Grilled Rainbow trout. We thought it was a delightful dish, and worth the trip for those of us who enjoy fish. Each element was complimentary and full of flavor. The hit of the menu for us however was the House Made Gnocchi. OMG! If wecould order the yogurt cream by the gallon, we?d order 5 gallons for the trip back to Minnesota, and probably only get 1 gallonback before we devoured the rest. The gnocchi were tender and prepared just right. The alcohol selection was on point andprovided many options to pair with your meal including a solid assortment of local options. The deserts looked tremendousthough we opted to grab ice cream nearby instead. Read more

Update: Jackie (I think was her name) was an amazing waitress! Loved her sense of humor and banter with me and my family. The... food was great, especially the desserts. The chocolate creme brulee was delicately smooth and perfectly chocolatey. VERY smallamount, though. Didn't have shrimp this time so can't comment on mud veins, though. :) ---- The staff were very polite, attentive and nice. I liked the warm atmosphere and folksy music. The food was great - except my shrimp risotto had partialMUD VEIN left in it. I am one that finds that absolutely disgusting, especially when paying a pretty penny for it, so I'mdocking a star. We are locals so we'll give them another chance and hope it was a fluke. Read more

We visited the Three Forks Grille on our first night in Montana. We came due to the great reviews we read. We were not... disappointed! Our seating was upstairs overlooking the bar area and it was quiet and comfortable. Our waitress was superb andfriendly. The drinks were a glass of white wine and Bloody Mary which were very good. We had the Three Forks Caesar salad thatincluded Romaine Lettuce, Fresh Herbs, Garlic Croutons, Grilled Lemon, Parmesan, House Smoked Rainbow Trout. Out of this world!Entrees for both of us included the Special Risotto with Whitefish, salmon, and shrimp and the Grilled 10oz. Pork Chop withBacon Jam, Huckleberry BBQ, Yam Mac & Cheese, Charred Broccolini. The risotto was creamy and the fish was perfectly cooked. Thepork chop was grilled to a delicious degree and the BBQ sauce added extra depth. Our dessert was the Chocolate and HazelnutFlourless Torte that capped off a perfect meal. For a taste of the Northwest and an excellent meal, make Three Forks Grille oneof your stops while visiting! Read more
