My husband and I were visiting Columbia City and decided to try this since we have never had plant based ice creme. He was very... skeptical because he loves dairy ice cream. I ordered the strawberry banana tumbleweed which is a mixture like a DQ blizzardand he had the vanilla ice crème with fresh strawberries on top. It was very good just a little different texture thanregular ice cream. A little pricey ($32) because he also wanted to try their bottled root beer. Their were 2 cashiers thatevening and I wish we would have known about the Sunday specials since we were there on a Sunday. I found this out because the2nd cashier who served the group after us was explaining the 1/2 price special on Sundays and made a point to point out whichflavors were nut free. At least we know for next time! I?m happy we went and tried something new. We will definitely be backwhen we are in the area. Read more

We were finally able to try out Moo-Over in Columbia City Yesterday. What a treat! We had the Whiskey Peach, Strawberry, and... Mint ice creams. I am VERY sensitive to the taste of anything sugar-free; I've trained myself to taste it so the sweetenersdon't trigger my fibromyalgia. Let me tell you!!! The strawberry was sugar-free and I DID NOT TASTE IT! It was very clearlylabeled and displayed as sugar-free, I just did not see it LOL. I only realized it when I took my cute little pot & shovelinside to the dirty dish bin and saw the sign. Julie was absolutely amazing and let us taste the ones we were interested inbefore choosing. You can tell this amazing woman loves what she is doing & providing. I HIGHLY recommend Moo-Over if you arelactose intolerant and want some good ice cream. Next time I am going to try one of the pastries. Read more

What a lovely gem in downtown Columbia City. I did a quick google search for ice cream and this lovely establishment came up. I... wasn?t aware everything was gluten and dairy free so I was a bit nervous on how it would taste. Let me tell you it wasdelicious! My crew ordered a chocolate shake, cherry chocolate chip, and coffee crunch. It was delicious! I had a waffle bowlwith my dessert and it had a good crunch and flavor. Definitely will be back to try the gluten and dairy free baked goods aswell as try more ice cream flavors. Read more

Wowza! Amazing depth of flavor and all exquisitely made. Each ice cream and soft serve is delicious and either true to... ?traditional? flavors or a wonderful concoction of something new and bold. An example is the Hot Flash- it?s an ice cream thattastes like a hot tamale candy but with more depth and of course the creaminess. We happened to be lucky enough to catch donutday and had to have the apple fritter. The donut cake is well balanced and the moisture of the apples and sauce keep it frombeing denser- it?s very much a traditional old Europe style fritter without the heavy oily texture more common in the USA fromfried. The owner was an amazing well of knowledge and kept having us try things. From the hand made waffle cones to cakes andeverything in between everything was done perfectly. The pots and shovels for the plant based aspect are cute and a wonderfulhomage. Regardless of being vegan or gluten free this is one of the best dessert places I have ever had anywhere in the globe. I ran into Moo-Over at the Fort Wayne Farmer's Market. The folks were so nice and told me and my family about their plant-based... ice cream shop in Columbia City. Finding good plant-based, sugar free options for ice cream has been such a challenge! Drivingto Columbia City was worth it! The shop is beautiful! The flower pot bowls with shovels for spoons was overwhelmingly charming! My family will definitely be returning, and often! Read more
