Warmouth (one of my bucket list restaurants). This was definitely a fun experience. Pulled up early at 5:30 on a Thursday. ... Plenty of parking available. We were greeted immediately at the door and sat promptly. The vibe there was very welcoming, that "cheers " vibe. Very relaxed. It was a little smokey from the ribs, but who complains about the aroma of smoked meat. Not me! Our waiter was very quick to great us. I will say it was quite chilly in there, I am in my 40s and nearing the"change" so if I say it was chilly...take note. We ordered so many appetizers. We started out with with fried pork belly. Iwill start off my suggesting (just my preference) the bigger pieces were a little tough and chewy. The smaller pieces wereabsolute perfection. The nice crispy crust and inside the fat was rendered perfectly where it just melted away as you bit intoit. I dipped the smaller bites into their house made jalepeno sauce. Which is a must, the heat doesn't build much so you canstill enjoy the flavors. Next we had the fried onion petals. These you must get. They are lightly battered, not overwhelmedwith that heavy grease. The onion adds just the perfect amount of sweetness. The sauce is the perfect dipping sauce, a littlesweetness and savory. Next up, was the snapper pate. Let me just say this....this needs to be sold in pints. The dip wasnot overwhelming fishy. The fish was fresh and very flavorful. There was not too much added "sauce" that it overpowered themain star. Everything was balanced perfectly. It came with fried saltine crackers (I believe). The crispness of the crunchfrom the fried cracker and the fresh, savory creaminess of the snapper, can only be described as eclectic comfort food. Wealso ordered the cheese board. It had 3 or 4 different cheeses. From hard to soft cheeses. Accompanied with local honey comb, and this concoction Wasabi sweet addition. I throughly enjoyed the rich and sweet flavors of the che Read more

In town for a night and War Mouth came highly recommend. We ordered two snacks, three small plates and a main to share and it... was just the right amount. Absolutely delicious plus great service. Recently moved to the area six months ago and War Mouth is one of our top return to... places. Never disappoints either with its normal fare or weekly specials. Try the cornbread starter, the small is big (good forfour persons), the large is huge! Read more
