I was very disappointed by the last 2 visits. The last time I paid for 2 extra buns only to get home to find out they forgot to... give me the buns. Which was kind of bad when I purchased pulled pork & wanted to make sandwiches. Today I got one of the buildyour own plate & was disappointed to get home & discover most of the skin on the BBQ chicken quarter was missing & the Briskethad 60% fat which I feed to my dog & the pulled pork was flooded with the yellow sauce all over the top without asking for it.The baked beans had so much juice in them that I drank more than half of them & it leaked all in the bag on everything. All theportions of meat & sides were very small & for a total of $27.00 plus a $4.00 tip bringing it to nearly $31.00 I felt scammedafter getting home. That's the last time I'm eating there. Oh, did I mention the 2 hushpuppies were floating in the BBQ saucewhich ended up in the trash? Read more

I had the brisket burnt end sandwich and I loved it. The food was great but expensive. My wife and I both got a sandwich... basket and a small drink and the total was north of $30. So not a place I can afford to go regularly, but I will come back Read more

I had the Big Boy Pulled Pork sandwich. It was good food. Not the best I ever heard but not the worst. But I felt the price was... a little too high. But maybe that is just because the price to do business now a days is high. All in all I was happy tosupport a small business. Read more

So very disappointing! Wow! Been wanting to try this since I saw it on Food Network. Loved that the owner stuck up for his... rights to display history! However, severely not happy with the food. Everything, and I actually mean 90% of what we ordered wasslathered, coated or mixed with a mustard sauce. It was insane. We paid $70 for two plates and a gallon of sweet tea and twoslices of pie! I tried everything. I disliked literally all of it! Even the pie was still frozen. Look, I love BBQ. I alsounderstand that different regions have different flavors however, maybe an option of sauce would be good. We were'nt asked aboutan option. And, mustard. Wow! Too much! I couldn't even taste the meat or smoke! The only exceptions were the brisket. No sauce. Not as tender as I'd have liked but, not bad. The burnt ends didn't have mustard either but, they were also drenched in a sauce. We also ordered the pork hash. Mustard. The pinto beans. Mustard. Pulled pork. Mustard. And the Mac and cheese. No mustard but,grainy... I've had way better at Popeyes. So in conclusion, if you like mustard, Maurices is for you. If not, steer clear. YouWILL be disappointed. Read more
