Very caring server, food came out hot and delicious. All condiments were readily available at the establishment?s very clean... tables, and the menu is easily interpreted to customize your order for the best experience. Multiple servers checked on my mealto make sure that I had the best experience possible, and I can?t imagine finding a better meal in a clean area with amazinghospitality anywhere else. 5 STARS! We found this place by chance while driving through South Carolina. The food was amazing!! The collards were well seasoned, okra... fried to perfection, the chicken and waffles just delicious. I was initially going to give two stars based on the food, but, because the chef, Ed, and our waitress, Cassandra, were both... very nice, I'm giving them three stars. I ordered the shrimp and grits and just didn't like it at all. I've never had shrimp andgrits with brown gravy and it just wasn't my flavor. I didn't complain about it, but Cassandra noticed that I only ate the fourshrimp that came with the dish and offered to see if it could be taken off our check. I didn't ask for or expect thisaccommodation. She spoke with the chef, Ed, and he came out and apologized and offered us an alternate dish in addition to notcharging us for the shrimp and grits. We thought that was very nice and generous of him. My husband had the barbecue salmonwith mashed potatoes and collard greens. They initially forgot the mashed potatoes, but Cassandra brought them out quickly oncewe told her. The mashed potatoes and collard greens were tasty. He said the salmon was a little bland. We had the mac and cheesebites for an appetizer and they were delicious! Lastly, we ordered unsweetened tea to drink and initially got sweet tea. So thathad to be corrected. We live in Atlanta and was visiting Columbia and wanted to try a restaurant that we don't have in Atlanta.So, all in all, it was an average experience. Read more
My family and I were down for my nephews graduation from the Army last week and wanted to try something new instead of the... normal fast food. We stumbled on Kiki?s Chicken and waffles for Dinner and we were all to surprised by the service and the FOOD!Excellent all around. The fact that CJ was able to remember everyone?s order & we were a party of 10 without any error issomething to talk about. The food was so good for dinner (sorry no pics. Forgot to snap so I made sure I took the breakfast pic)that we returned for breakfast and again was NOT dissatisfied. Chicken and waffles is my absolute favorite meal, but I?ve been so disappointed with restaurants that have chicken and waffles... on their menu. I?ve traveled for work a lot and I can honestly tell you the best places to get chicken and waffles in everystate. It has always been super disappointing to me that my home state didn?t have a really good chicken and waffles on any menumuch less a restaurant. I?d heard about Kiki?s on social media, but we live a little over an hour away so I?d never had theopportunity to try it. Well, today is my birthday and my husband reserved seats at IMAX for Jurassic World Dominion because theJurassic Park movies are my favorite and he thought I should get to see it on a really big screen. He asked me where I wanted togo for dinner, and I jumped at the chance to finally try Kiki?s. Y?all did not disappoint. So good y?all! The chicken has somuch flavor and the waffles y?all?holy Moses. So incredibly heavenly. I highly recommend the sweet potato waffle. 10/10, wouldrecommend. As good as the food was, the staff was even better. ?? My husband told her it was my birthday and next thing I knew the staff came out to sing Happy birthdayto me, and it was hands down the most sincere and genuine happy birthday I?ve ever gotten from strangers. Your staff are allvery sweet and a joy to be around. And your manager is as well! Such a wonderful human being, and so thoughtful too! I've been hearing about Kikis since I arrived in Columbia and I was finally able to check it out. The bottom line is the hype is... real. Kikis is often praised as the best soul food in Columbia and I found no reason to doubt that. If you plan on going, itis apparently always busy so get there early or plan on a little wait. Full disclosure, I was told my wait would be about 40minutes but I was seated well before that time. They utilize Yelps wait system so you can always check on your place in linewhile you wait in your car. I ordered the shrimp and grits appetizer, and it was larger than I expected. The shrimps and sausagewere plentiful and the dish was very tasty, although the gravy was darker than im used to with this dish. The wings are verydelicious, of a good size and you get 5 wholes with the wings meal. After eating the appetizer it was all I could do to finishall of the wings, but I did it, lol. All of the food ordered was well prepared and delicious. I will definitely be back soonerthan later. My only wish is that they had a full bar, but the mimosa I ordered was very well made amd had lots of fruit within. Read more
We?ve eaten at their other location but this was our first time here and it did not disappoint. I highly recommend the mac and... cheese bite appetizer, they?re packed with flavor and have a spicy tinge to them that really solidifies their ranch. Highlightof the menu in my opinion is the fried chicken wings, honey style. Syrupy-sweet with delicious savory skin. This was my second time coming here and I was disappointed with this dish. The smothered pork chop gravy had a weird bland... taste. I ended up swapping for the chicken wings and fries which were pretty good. The Mimosa was on point. The customer servicedelightful despite my disappointment. I?ll give them another try. Read more
