Usually good food but we were made to wait for a long time tonight when half the tables were empty. After waiting, wondering why... they weren?t seating their tables, we finally pressed the host enough that he told us they didn?t have enough staff. Not thekind of service we?ve come to expect. We eat here about once a month and love the food. The service is always quick. It?s one of our favorites. However, on September... 28 our server Santos made several comments about the amount of food we ordered (one entree each), saying ?That?s a lot offood.? and when he cleared my plate he said ?She must have been hungry!? Looks like they got all new people since last time I went. Loved this place but this time not so much. Service not good and they... didn't understand what I was asking. Then after sharing the fajita nachos with my boyfriend he went to the vehicle not we'll.I continued to eat and it tasted good but once I left my stomach started hurting. Now continuously in the bathroom for the pasthour. Called to see if anyone had issues and I wasn't rude but the guy on the phone was and basically called me a liar. He saidno mam it takes bla bla hours for food to digest...I said not when you have had something that went bad or fully cooked likefood poisoning. The food was good. The customer service was poor. I had a take out order. When I made it home, the order was incorrect. We are... all human and make mistakes from time to time. I was not mad about the mistake. I called and explained what happened. He said"the waiter said that's not what you ordered". I said "I'm not looking for an argument, I would just like to exchange the foodfor the correct order please". We agreed that I could make the exchange. I drove up to the restaurant and as soon I entered Iwas greeted by the waiter. He said "You made a mistake when you ordered". I said "I read the request from my phone". I showedhim the text message. He looked at me and said "well you need to learn how to read then because that's not what you said". Isaid "I am not looking to argue, I would just like to exchange the order". He said "you need to learn to read and order thecorrect food. I have to pay for the order because you made a mistake". He proceeded to grab the bag out of my hand. I wasembarrassed and angry. I spent almost 40 dollars on food and a tip. I never once was rude or disrespectful. That is notacceptable service. I have supported this company for many years but I will not be back. Read more
Overall this restaurant was good. The south side Columbia location on Southampton is much better at making the dishes and I do... like the atmosphere better. The staff was very friendly and attentive, it was just the food that lacked in quality in comparisonto the location I am accustomed to. Read more
I say this having grown up eating Mexican at a friends house who's mother and grandmother would feed us while we studied and... quote I was alway "to skinny" which ruined Mexican for me cause nothing has come close, well till Las Margaritas. Like any otherMexican restaurant at first glance, but then it hits you like Mike Tyson! The staff are friendly and the waiter Caleb wasamazing when faced with a picky eater. Then the food came out with such speed I didn't finish the table nachos. The food lookedgreat, but the first bite blew my mind. My picky eater was eating parts of her meal she normally never eats and complimentingthe food as the kido destroyed it. Las Margaritas is our new Wednesday dinner out location for sure. Read more
