Best coffee house in Columbia. The prices are reasonable. The coffee is delicious and the atmosphere comfortable and inviting.
Went in to get a breakfast bagel sandwich and specifically asked them to put my name on the to go bag. Sometimes they ask for... your name, but I guess it all depends on who is working the register that day. 5 or so minutes later they called out adescription of my breakfast sandwich and a few seconds later they called out another description of a different sandwich. Whichhad the persons name on it also. Someone took the wrong bag. After noticing about a minute later that my sandwich was taken bymistake I had to ask them to make another sandwich for me. CALL OUT THE NAME ON THE BAG!!!! This isn't the first time this hashappened me. This is an ongoing issue, so if your wanting a breakfast sandwich from this place, stand by the counter and watchlike a hawk or your going to be standing there even longer waiting on your order to be cooked AGAIN! When I left I said thankyou.... Meaning I appreciate you for remaking my breakfast. The person looked at me and didn't respond. One of my absolute favorite places to visit in Downtown Columbia, and in the city of Columbia as a general whole. The... atmosphere is quite similar to that of Mudhouse Coffee in Downtown Springfield. My family and I went there when we visited mysister in Columbia, while she was at Missouri Scholars Academy and during her freshman and sophomore years at Mizzou. But thatwas in my teens. I have not set foot in there since then, and that is one thing about Columbia that I miss today. Read more
I love this place! I have been going here since I was a baby. I loved coming in for peanut-butter-and-banana sandwiches and... playing the board games out front. I moved away in grade school but it still warms my heart every time I come back to Columbiato make a stop at Lakota. I also bought my favorite mug there. Everything is high quality: the excellent coffee, the food, theatmosphere, the products for sale. Highly recommend. :) Read more
I have just recently learned about Lakota Coffee Company. I have purchased whole beans in Southern Pecan?Bourbon Pecan and... Highlander Grogg?love them all!
