I can't believe I've lived in this area for 4 years and this is the first time I've tried them out. I am ashamed! LOL. The food... and service are OUTSTANDING. Oh my gosh!! This place is definitely a honeycomb hideout!! I ordered side orders of Rice and Peas, Macaroni and Cheese, and... Zucchini with Peppers and Onions! We also got two vegetable Patty?s! Everything was amazing, the rice and peas were flavorful!The Vegetable Patty?s were super delicious, nice and flaky!! The macaroni hit the spot, very cheesy and cooked toperfection!! A friend first told me about this restaurant, then a second friend, so I tried it. Their meat pie was delicious! Loved that... their pastry was authentic, not the store bought design. Thanks! I?ve been wanting to try this place for a while and today I was in the neighborhood so I stopped. I had the jerk chicken platter... with white rice and plantains, everything was good. The chicken had the right combination of flavor and heat. The plantains weresweet and soft, just how I like them. I also ordered a side of jerk Mac and cheese, curry and stewed chicken so I could tasteeverything lol!! The Mac and cheese was the truth! The first time I?ve ever had the combination. Jamaican curry chicken (pic) was right up there with the best I've had. Rich flavorful stew like broth with mixed chicken pieces... and a few potato chunks. The mac & cheese was pretty good, but loved their jerk mac & cheese. Love their cabbage. It had abuttery taste with enough salt, and a good amount of crunch. Just the way I like it. Spinach was good, like the little pieces ofveggies in there but still a little bland. On my first visit the jerk chicken sandwich (pic) was spicy hot but not veryflavorful. I mentioned this to the manager on my next visit and he said they were training a cook but I should try the jerkchicken today. He gave me a small portion over rice and he was absolutely right, perfect hot spicy jerk chicken (pic) not driedout like some places. That all happened because the manager came to my table outside and asked how the food was. This is greatinitiative for managers to actually ask their customers that question. The brown stew chicken (pic) was very flavorful, butcould have used some heat just a little. I'll get it again when I feel like something different but the curry chicken wasdefinitely tastier.
