This cafe is absolutely charming inside and outside. I loved the cute outdoor area. They have plenty of tables inside and... outside. The cafe is beautifully designed and everyone is super friendly. Me and my husband stopped by for a quick lunch and were really disappointed with food we had, we both ordered baguette with... chicken and blue cheese we paid $37.00. First of all it wasn't a baguette, just regular white roll it was cold and not fresh, chicken was cold an hard so was bacon, it wasn't French food at all, ( we just got back from Nice). Dining room had noair-condition, and bathroom smell was horrible. Never again. I usually don't post negative feedback, but its just ripoff. Read more
I wanted to love this place but I'm so disappointed! The ambiance is very nice and the coffee is good, but we could not believe... how small the food portions are. When we ordered savory crepes for $13 - $15, we assumed we were ordering a stuffed dinner-platesized crepe with a side salad. But our crepes were SO small and just an absolute rip-off. The crepes were crispy and completelyfalling apart, too. We ate our little crepes in about three bites and left feeling so hungry! We actually had to sneak some ofour toddler's quiche! The other thing that was so disappointing is that the food is served in a box with packaged plasticutensils. So bummed on the single-use waste and additionally it was difficult to eat out of the box! If you want deliciouscrepes and appropriate portions, go to Ce La Vi in Red Bank! Read more
I was fooled by the ambiance and the 4.3 stars on google, but won't be back. - very expensive for quality - food was... disappointing: La figue sandwich was $14.99 and was made of grocery-store quality ingredients, small, thrown together. Thebaguette was not fresh, the ham was disappointing. See photo. A sandwich can be small and simple if the ingredients are highquality but these were not. The croissants (plain & chocolate) looked nice, but were no different than what I could buy at thestore too. Too dense. No expected flakiness, pillowyness, classic buttery taste. The leek and parm pastry had solid flavors -this may have been the best thing. + Nutella banana crepe was good. Hard to screw that up. + ambiance is great - the counter, menu, dining area, decorative elements, plantings, bathroom all well put-together with clean white and dark grey. Overall, fromthe menu, pricing and ambiance, I expected the food to be high quality and impressive, like a real French bakery. But it wasnothing different than if I had I gone to the grocery store. The croissants were great, but the croque madame was very disappointing. $15 for a small sandwich. The egg was pretty small and... the inside was cold and dry. Eating out of a box with a plastic fork was a challenge. Read more
Adorable place! On a warm day the outdoor seating is lovely. Extensive menu. Love the croissants. Both the sweet ones and the... savory. Spinach and feta is my favorite. Awesome omelettes too. Owners are very generous, supporting local charities andschools. Read more
