Reviews for Viets restaurant in Colorado Springs, CO
First time stopping by, but honestly on par with other great Pho spots I?ve been too. Spring rolls were tasty, and the pho was... filling! The rest of the menu looks really nice too. If I make it back down here again I?ll definitely check out some of theircombination plates. Service was also attentive and great! The picture below shows how I feel. Full, content, and relaxed! I haven't been to another local Vietnamese restaurant that has the spirit and tenacity to prepare such a wide variety of... traditional and ethic food. Although they pride themselves as a Vietnamese restaurant, I see plenty of crossovers that representthe South East Asian cooking. It does take someone who understands food preparation and the appreciation of Asian food to seewhy they didn't just offer what is simple and main stream like many other Vietnamese restaurants you'll find in town. Eaterylike Viets restaurant who are ambitious about their menu, has the skills, and courage showcasing their culinary are very rare inColorado Springs. Food was delicious, service was attentive, menu I already spoken a lot, and pricing is slightly higher end butworth it. Read more
Ordered a pad thai for delivery on Door Dash. The noodles, chicken, and beef are dry and the food tastes old like it's left... overs from yesterday. Completely inedible, horrible food and a waste of money, do not eat here. Read more
The current 4.2/5 rating for this place makes no sense to me. I haven't been to Vietnam or anything to try the most authentic... food, but I've always felt I've had good standards for Vietnamese food. This place raised my bar. I'm just visiting Colorado, but when I go back to where I came from I'll be a little sad knowing the best Vietnamese I've had is far away. Read more
Quick service with large servings. Watch out for the garlic chili sauce on the table it was difficult to dispense and I ended up... with some sauce on my clothes. Missing cilantro on pho plate otherwise a great experience with tasty food. Read more
We placed an online order through their website for pick up. It said we'd be texted when the food was done. Forty minutes later,... with no text, we went in and found they hadn't pulled the order from their computer. We were told 12 minutes. Twenty minuteslater, not seeing any food and the restaurant closing, we went in again and found the food had been sitting in the back. Thechicken lo mein looked like the top of the pepper mill fell open. It was inedible. The pork in the rice noodle bowl was burntand tasted like old used oil. There is some great Vietnamese out there, this is not the place. Don't waste your money! Read more
I love, love, love Pho. Viet?s Restaurant on North Academy. The location is hiding in plain site and I had overlooked this... place for a couple years. The Pho is served very fresh with a healthy serving of whatever protein is ordered. Many other placesseem to have a cameo protein appearance, but Viet?s gives nice portions. This is my new local favorite! Read more
Most important thing: food was incredible. Portions were amazing. Soooo tasty. Just everything you need and so good. However I... left sort of upset. I ordered the steak pho (one of the regularly priced pho options on the menu as I was trying to be budgetconscious). I was in there with 10 people and we had been sat at two tables (one of 7 and one of 4). Another awesome detail: thefood seemed to come out super fast and was not lacking in quality like I said. Anyway. They bring out our food and give us eachour plates (as far as I?m concerned). We?re not told the names as they come out and they just place them in front of us. Mine isincredible. Finished it all and then had to leave early and so went up to pay at the front. I was expecting a bill no higherthan $15. However, it came out to $20.45. I looked at the receipt and I told him that I had actually gotten the steak. He said.?No. Your friend got your steak and you got the filet mignon. That?s why it was so good.? There was also a automatic 20% tipdue to a ?large group.? I was not warned about this and we also were not larger than the family beside us so idk. Anyway. Greatfood just felt miffed. Edit: came back. Changed from 4 stars to 2. Smaller group this time (only 7, we fit at a table and hadan open seat even). There was still an assumed gratuity so I?m wondering if it?s just because we?re college kids it?s assumedthat we won?t tip so they add one. Anyway. I ordered a small this time because the small is plenty big (love the portionsizes!). I really expected to have no issues. But I get up to the till and I tell him I ordered a small beef pho. He says okay. However, he charges me for a medium. But doesn?t tell me. I notice it on the receipt and say ?oh I said I had a small.? He triedto explain to me a reason that I was charged extra but I didn?t understand. I asked him to reexplain and he did. It still didn?tmake sense to me. It?s just a dollar or so and the tip was just $3 or so, so it?s not the Read more
