This is how they packaged my order, I thought there was parchment paper in between the paper plate, but nope. Visiting Colorado Springs and just needed some pizza, and right across from the hotel was Ruffrano's. Walking in I instantly... felt the NY vibe with pizza by the slice and the garlic knots. I had the special two slices and a drink, and that was perfectfor me. I had the plain and pepperoni, the crust had a good chew yet still had a good crisp. The only reason it wasn't 5*'swas only my personal passion for a classic Margherita pizza and their slices were greasy. I got to meet the owner, very nice guy. We reminisced about being from NY, and despite being short staffed the customer service... was great. I arrived at 10:55 to find the front door unlocked. I liked that. I was even allowed to place my order before theytechnically opened which gave me time to get the things I needed from Target. I was openly told it would be about 30 minutes formy plain cheese pizza pie. Now to my review of the pizza. This pizza was great, very crispy and tasty. First time at this location and I wish I would have gotten their names but there were two employees there the taller older one... was very rude off the bat and then just walked in the back and never came back to the front. So my wife and I are newly weds, first time in Colorado Springs, visiting from Texas for our Honeymoon. A lot of our trip is... pre-booked but we stopped in this place after some quick last minute shopping to grab a quick bite to eat. The customer infront of us was very unhappy and glad to let us know. He basically reccomended we not eat there, and suggested the service andquality was poor... he also let slip that this was his second or third visit, which made me wonder why he kept coming back. Sowe ordered a whole pie. The two men working(sorry guys, didn't catch your names) where friendly, down to earth, and built us ahalf and half specialty pie that fit both me and my wife perfectly. I got the Hellfire, and she got the Mac n Cheese pizza. Isat down, was told there would be about a 20 minute wait upfront, and I told him it was fine. About 15 minutes later, and thesetwo men had made and served 2 or 3 others pies that came before me, and mine was in the over. Okay, moment we've all beenwaiting for, how was it? Well, we got to the hotel, still scared from our earlier encounter with the unhappy guy who kept comingback, we opened the box to find a nice New York, or perhaps Brooklyn style pizza (remember, I'm from Texas, we aren't exactlyknown for pizza). It smelled good. It looked nice, still fresh after the short ride to our hotel. We both take a cautious biteand then, we look at each other and smile as we chew. It tasted good, too, was our shared conclusion. All in all, I can't saythis is the number one pizza joint in colorado springs, as I haven't tried others, and I'm sure there's a real expensive placeout there with some mind blowing ingredients, BUT, this place was great at a great price and anyone who has written a bad revieweither must have waited too long, and that ruins ANY pizza, trust me. We ordered online and they got 2 out of 8 items correct. 4 if you count the substitutions we accepted. But gosh, this whole... experience was a travesty. Check out the pic of the lettuce in the salad. I ordered Caeser salad and got a House salad to start.Then the lettuce was not just brown... This was a surprise. I have had this pizza before but wasn't impressed. Had a slice of Pepperoni and one of cheese. Good crust,... sauce, crispy yet soft. Pizza was burnt, crust was hard as a rock. Had no icing for cinnamon knots. Very unfriendly employees inside talking about how... sad and sorry the place was, and didn?t care if they got fired.
