Pretty cool taco shop type place with a variety of street tacos and other foods on a straight forward menu. Expect to hear late... '90s - early 2000s hip-hop while you eat. I enjoyed the atmosphere, but some might not. The food was flavourful and servedfast. It's a relatively small indoor area, and there is some seating outside, but it might fill up fast on a busy night. Weenjoyed our meal. Read more

Keene did a great job taking our orders. She  was friendly and know what she was doing. I decided to try their Ropa Vieja and... my colleague had the steak sandwich. The food were served pretty quickly and great water service. Fusion is about food based ona specific culture but culinarily paired with ingredients inherent from other regions or cultures. My Ropa Vieja was quitespecial, it wasn't any variation from any region, it was Piglatin's. The mashed yuca was delicious. There were no side dishes inthis entree, all the elements came together pleasingly. Wondeful plate composition! The ambience and music wereunapologetically unsubmissive; not for your mother in law and certainly don't ask for kids menu. If you want good, creative, local food, this could be your place to chill out with friends. Read more

Excellent experience. Definitely a bar focused location but I came for lunch. The portion was decent and the pulled pork was... phenomenal. Flavor profile isn't what you would expect, this isn't a run of the mill texmex place. Island twist to the foodmakes it a unique Latin American dining experience. Get the apple fritter (that's not what they call it) and you definitelywon't be disappointed with your dessert! Read more

What a truly unique combination of flavors -- a bit of Mexican, a bit of Cuban, a healthy dose of Korean... I've had the guava... lava taco and the kimchi taco and both were out of this world good. I've also had the kimchi quesadilla and it was huge and soso SO delicious (yeah, I'm a big kimchi fan). I also sampled the ropa vieja and that was similarly amazing. The Cuban pastrydessert with cream cheese frosting and guava paste was worthy of any bakery, so flaky and buttery and satisfying. And theelote? Brilliant. The only things I didn't live were the picadillo empanadas, which were good but maybe not quite on the samelevel as the rest. The place is small and the loud music makes casual conversation a bit challenging, but they are working on alarge patio dining space that may relieve these issues on days when the weather is good. And I totally dig the funkyinterior. Eat here! You won't find food quite like this anywhere else. Read more

The food options were decent, although limited for my vegetarian friend. The atmosphere is really cool, actually, although a... little loud of you're looking to chat with your group. The food tastes great, although it takes a little long to come out. However the service is pretty attentive. All in all I think it's a decent spot to hit up, and pretty flavorful! Read more

We were looking for a quick late lunch / early dinner and decided to try Piglatin Cocina. I am very glad we did! We started... with their signature Margarita. It was a little small but also not filled to the brim with ice. It was the right mix of sweetand tart with a salty rim. For our meal I had the OG Stacked Arepa (gluten free). It was packed with flavor! The crispy arepawith a soft interior, topped with sweet pork and stringy mozzarella cheese, barely noticeable spinach (although my immune systemthanked me for eating it) and spicy sriracha made for a perfectly delectable bite. If you are not a fan of spicy food, I wouldrecommend asking for the sriracha lite or on the side. I wanted to try one of the tacos and chose the Guava Lava Chicken(gluten free). I ate this second and I was very glad I did! This taco was SPICY! I would order it again and absolutely eat itlast. I like spicy food (medium - hot is my preference) and this was hot - hot. Before the heat took over, I could tell thetexture was delightful and the flavor was delicious. My husband had the Piglatin Plate (gluten free). It was savory, salty andsweet. The amount of food was just right for a lunch portion. He also had the Yuca wedges (gluten free - although fried in thesame oil as gluten containing foods). They were ok and a nice side but he would likely try something else next time. TL;DR -The Street Tacos and Plates are all gluten free or can be made gluten free. The sides are fried in the same oil as theempanadas. Read more
