So much character and charm in this converted Victorian in Old Colorado City. Enjoy delicious food with so much to choose from,... and a nice comforting vibe. The food was so delicious! Could definitely see why it was featured on Triple D! Very small location so be prepared to wait a... little to eat. We were lucky and didn't have to, but I think we timed it up perfectly. Known for the cinnamon rolls, but theygo very quickly in the morning! Very cool little place. Fun signs on every wall. Great service. Not too hard to find, but parking may be a little tricky.
This place is hyped up, it does not reflect the 4.7 rating the accurate should be a 3 rating. Waited over 40 min to get seated,... only to see the inside half empty, our party of 4 was not seated in the order of arrival. Took them 15 min to take our order,about 20-30 to fix the food. The taste is blah at best. we ordered Porky pig omelette Life's good pancake French toast Noamazing presentation, regular creamers, eggs for omelette and Scrambled tasted as if powdered, barely any cheese in the omeletteand to top it off terrible service. Average, at best. While the food was meh, it was more reminiscent of what you would expect from a Denny's or Ihop. I think those... two options may even be a bit better. Frozen hash browns, scrambled eggs and a chicken fried steak with bland gravy. Everythingwas just so bland and boring. The tables are very tiny and don't have room for everyone's plates. The tables are also extremelyclose to one another so you will be very intimate with the table next to you. It's not cozy, it's very uncomfortable. MountainShadows has their giant cinnamon roll going for them, (which is very delicious), but that's all they have going for them. Muchbetter breakfast options exist in the Springs. Read more
