We have shared birthdays, baby showers, graduation parties, date nights, and most recently my daughter’s going away party at... Marigold Cafe & Bakery. My employees anticipate a cake (fruit tart) from here with a chocolate plaque with their name on it forevery anniversary. This is the absolutely most recognizable establishment in Colorado Springs. The team is always a delight andthe owner is obviously there for the costumers. The food is to die for, especially the perfectly esthetic and deliciousdesserts. Thank you Marigold Cafe for always going above and beyond. Read more

Where has this place been hiding!? What an amazing first experience at Marigold Cafe & Bakery. I was wowed at every course,... served great wine, sent home with goodies, and made feel special by the owner himself. Gus and the entire bar staff (where I sattonight) thank you so much. A perfect night I didn’t know I needed. I will definitely be back again and again. My wonderfuldesserts are not pictured, because I ate them too quickly before snagging a picture, oops! The raspberry cheesecake and tiramisuwere devine. Read more
Amazing! We just visited the bakery part (it's mostly restaurant with a small bakery near the entrance) and everything was... EXCELLENT! Breads were flaky and delicious, and the eclairs were classic french-style ... just lightly sweet. We'll be visitingagain before we have to head home! Read more

Great desserts, service varies from server to server (Rhett and Isabella are usually good), and the food is decent but it can be... inconsistent. A while ago they were serving a phenomenal pork sandwich as a special, which would be a great addition to thepermanent menu. However, some other times, like today, there have been more significant issues with seasoning and proteintemperature. I’ll let the photos speak for themselves but as a background I will say that the burger was supposed to bemedium temp. The first time is was 100% medium rare and lacked seasoning (didn’t think to snap a photo) and upon re-firing itwas seriously over cooked and offensively salty. When we tried to have a conversation with Gus (kitchen manager?) - not to getany more free meals; we were just offering pretty reasonable feedback - he just wanted to give us more free meals. But that isuncomfortable, especially if it’s aimed at ending the conversation. More than “getting our money’s worth” this was aboutavoiding this issue in the future for everyone, and preventing a potential food intoxication. He insisted that they’d neverhad any proteins sent back to the kitchen, which sounds very unlikely and it felt like a disappointing, defensive response. Ifyou read reviews far enough, you’ll see that some others have suggested only going there for desserts and maybe an appetizerand a glass of wine, and I would absolutely agree with them. Read more
